5 out of 5 eggsFast. Reliable.

Pros: Fast. It completely maxes out SATA-300 on read and write. Like most SSD's, access times are instant, and it runs cool while using very little power.

Cons: None. Not a con, but do note that this drive is 7mm thick. It may not fit well in odd enclosures that rely on a 9mm drive.

Other Thoughts: Using this in a low power, completely solid state fanless Atom ITX webserver. It's unbelievably fast for being a box that draws 13 watts at the wall. I think this drive is about 0.3-1.5 watts depending upon if it's idling, read, or write. It's on and in use 24x7 in this environment, and it's been completely reliable for 6 months now. Still have backups, but have not needed them yet.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: I loaded Debian Linux on it, and it works fine.

Cons: No complaints so far.

Other Thoughts: It's amazing how little disk space Debian takes up compared to Windows. 60 GB should be just fine.

4 out of 5 eggsSuper Fast

Pros: Super fast. I put this drive into an old Core 2 Duo with 8 GB of DDR2 and Windows 7 Pro. I thought this drive would just make the old computer usable again. I was surprised to see that it supercharged the old girl. It was like building a new computer. Reinstalling my applications took just a few minutes instead of a few hours like it did on the old drive.

Cons: It is kinda small. With Windows 7, iTunes, Roxio, and the drivers, I have used a little more than half the drive's capacity. I only set up one user and I slaved the old 500 GB magnetic disk to take care of the data storage so it shouldn't be a problem.

Other Thoughts: Use this drive for an OS drive. You won't be able to store any data on it.
