5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: This stick is by far the best buy for the money. 64GB and an impressive write/read speed. I transferred a few rather large games 25GB+ and an OS in minutes. One of the games I put onto this beast was 32GB and transferred in 5 minutes. I'm sure it could have been faster if my computer didn't bottleneck it. Capped at around 110 MB/s. Rather impressive if you ask me.

Cons: Non so far.

3 out of 5 eggsGood speed but.....

Pros: Very fast operation. Looks nice. Decent LED visibility. USB 3.0 a huge plus.

Cons: No Lanyard. When you attach a lanyard the cap can no longer be attached to the rear.
After a few months of use the rear clear portion separated from the main body leaving me holding the raw circuit board in my hand.

Other Thoughts: I am someone who literally uses this everyday for my work so my usage is likely higher than others however having the rear clear housing in unacceptable. This happened after about 4 months of usage. I have since glued it back in myself and haven't had an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsQuick flashdrive

Pros: 64GB of storage, obviously

Fast both on USB3 (Hit 170MB/s reads, about 70MB/s write in benchmarks) and USB2 (didn't benchmark, but 27MB/s-30MB/s sustained file transfers)

Lasted several months with lighter usage

Gets warm but not hot like some other drives

Cons: Recessed access LED on the tip of the drive, kind of hard to see if it's off to the side on the edge of a laptop or keyboard USB port.

No way to store cap when drive is plugged in.

No lanyard/wrist strap, but most drives don't come with one.

Standard risks that come with a flashdrive - easy to lose or misplace the drive or the cap, easy to leave in pocket, etc.

Other Thoughts: So far this drive has outlived my last two USB3 drives, I hope finally posting a good review doesn't jinx it.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy it

Pros: Small, durable construction, simple color scheme, high data rates. Much more durable than its PNY or Kingston counterparts.

Cons: heats up when transferring large files but its not necessarily a con.

Other Thoughts: would buy again, 10/10

5 out of 5 eggsMushkin Ventura Plus, 64 GB @USB 3.0

Pros: For the price, these are probably just about the top performing flash drives available right now. On special these can be had for between $30 and $35 per. You can get cheaper 64 GB drives, but they will not perform like these. You can get drives with better performance, but they will be more expensive.

On a USB 3.0 port and transferring data to/from an internal SSD on a system, these drives just fly. they meet the performance spec as advertised (sorry, no benchmarks today; I DID do casual transfers of large file data sets, like ~30 GB, and times them ... they came in right at the advertised spec, if not slightly faster).

Note carefully, these Ventura PLUS drives have better performance than the Ventura PRO drives. And, I've often seen them selling for slightly less.

I love the design and feel of these, too. Very solid. The compact slimness of them allows them to be stacked easily next to each other in the tightest USB port configurations, a detail that other flash drive manufacturers often neglect (and, thus, have lost sales to me on many occasions).

Cons: None to speak of. I've transferred well over a terabyte back and forth between two of these drives and numerous other devices, be they external or internal HDDs/SSDs or other USB flash drives. These are NEVER the bottleneck.

Other Thoughts: I installed Kali linux on one of these and boot from it as a utility, portable device. With 64 GB, it has plenty of space for applications and data storage.

On one of my computers, I placed 20-pin USB 3.0 adapter on the internal header (Item=N82E16812176003 at Newegg). One of these Ventura Plus flash drives acted as an dual boot device for linux directly off the mobo for months. I could hardly tell it wasn't a hard drive. It performed nearly like an SSD in this configuration.

VERY nice!

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic flash drive

Pros: - Fast Fast FAST. Listed speeds are completely legit.
- compact enough to be mostly unobtrusive
- casing feels very sturdy, not cheap like so many others these days

Cons: - I was dumb enough to get a mobo w/no front USB 3.0 header, so I'm stuck plugging this into the rear panel or dealing with USB 2.0(about 25-30 MB/s write speed)

Other Thoughts: I really need to swap out my mobo to get the most out of my USB 3.0 front panel ports. But that's my fault. I cannot recommend this drive highly enough.

5 out of 5 eggsBest USB drive

Pros: Fastest USB drive I own - and I own quite a few. It works well even with smaller files. Will max out a USB 2 port, something USB 2 drives can't even come close to.

This drive feels nice! It's one of the very few PC components I touch just for the heck of it ;-)

Cons: None. The drive doesn't lose the cap - I do! Besides, the cap can be attached to the back of the drive when in use.

Other Thoughts: Writing small files to a USB drive can be painfully slow. The Mushkin drive writes small files MUCH faster than my Patriot 128GB USB 3 drive.

This USB drive is one of the PC components I consider top notch. My Mushkin SSD's are also on the list, though they are topped by the Samsung 840 Pro.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this

Pros: Very fast. Nicely built and slim design allows to be used next to or above adjacent USB ports.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Shipping is real iffy using DHL/USPS.
Sometimes fast and sometimes not so much.
You get what you don't pay for though.
