5 out of 5 eggsWork with Mac Mini 2012

Pros: Even though the spec does not specify for use in Mac Mini 2012, these SO-DIMM memory modules work without any problem.

Why the Mushkin RAM modules? Well, I got them when they were on sale. No need to pay extra $10 or so for Mac "certified" modules.

Cons: So far so good.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing Mushkin.
We appreciate your feedback and support.

5 out of 5 eggsTwo pairs for Dell M6600

Pros: Works as specified in Dell M6600

Cons: Don't really need 32GB?

Other Thoughts: Installed two pairs in Dell M6600 with i7-2860QM for a 32G system, runs at 9-9-9-28 timing without issue. Ran memtest86+ overnight for 3 passes with zero failures. Time will tell about reliability but so far very pleased.

Thank you for choosing Mushkin.

5 out of 5 eggsInstalled in Lenovo T430 - addendum

Pros: A supplement to my earlier comments:
It appears the i5-3320 processor has the support necessary to run either 1.5v or 1.35v RAM.
In my laptop CPU-Z says the memory is running at 630MHz instead of the 800MHz I expected, at 9-9-9.
Maybe memory at 1.35 would be able to run at 800Mhz. Don't know. It is nice to have choices.
It's still freakin' fast and I have no problems with it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I wish the bios had more options so I could experiment with this memory a little bit.

5 out of 5 eggsInstalled in Lenovo T430

Pros: Installed in the Lenovo T430 with the i5-3320M CPU using Win8.1
Perfect compatibility with no problems or issues. It is using the 9-9-9 timings.
With the Passmark Performance test it has benchmarked 150 points higher than the standard Dell memory. Not a big deal, but still a 7% speed bump for free.
Now I have a 4Gb ram drive and there is still about 1Gb of memory unused so the CPU is getting all the memory it wants for the work I do. I think graphics are a bit faster too.

To install two sticks on the T430 you have to remove the keyboard to get to the 2nd dimm. That was intimidating but I watched a couple U-Tube demonstrations. It was actually pretty easy and I was done in about 15 minutes.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I also tested the memory in my Latitude E6520 with the i7-2760QM CPU. No issues there either; it was very happy to use the Mushkin. I have been using G.Skill in the Latitude with 10-10-10 timings. This was at least as fast & might have been a smidge quicker.

I'm always price sensitive but I'll look for Mushkin again the next time I need memory.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Picked these up to go into an older Dell Latitude 6520. Dell states that this particular Latitude can only support 8GB of RAM max. After reading other forums and looking at Intel's site to see what the i7 CPU supports, other people gave me hope that this would work in my laptop.

After matching speeds and voltage with the Dell recommended 4GB sticks, I snagged these during the holiday sale. Popped them into the laptop, and both the BIOS and OS recognized 16GB. And I'm still running an older firmware, about 14 versions behind according to Dell's site.

Cons: None that I can find.

Other Thoughts: Matched speed & voltage with the Dell recommended specs. Worked like a charm.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in late 2013 27" iMac

Pros: Lower latency numbers than stock memory.

Cons: Wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: Bought the 27" with quad core i7 3.5 proc and 780M w4gb grap with 3tb fusion drive and only 8gb of ram. Upgrade everything to max except for the memory. It's cheaper to buy two of these and sell the stock mem. I sold the original memory for $67 for a quick sell. Now I have 32gb of faster memory. Great for lots of layers in pixelmator while working with multiple files.
