Try our innovations yourself and explore what's possible with Mushkin products.

DESIGNED AND ASSEMBLED IN THE U.S.A.

Not many manufacturers can say they design, assemble and test their products in the U.S.A. But Mushkin has been making its products in the U.S.A. since its inception in 1994. That means, for more than 19 years, we have been uniting all aspects of performance to engineer something you can't get from a spec sheet.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid RAM - Great Performance

Pros: This RAM is being used as a RAM Disk on my Hacktintosh (Yosemite 10.10.2) and to support 3-4 virtual machines that I run in Virtual Box. It works great, is easy to install and I am sure will last quite a long time.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Lifetime warranties are nice, but who cares when you upgrade your computer every three to five years anyway. As long as the RAM is good for that time span, it is a five star winner in my book.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing Mushkin.
We appreciate your feedback and support.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stuff!

Pros: This RAM kit allowed me to fit 32GB of 2133 Mhz ram in the small space between my motherboard and closed loop cooler. It's great! While RAM isn't the sexiest upgrade, it really smoothed things out.

My primary use for the machine is photo editing, but I also like to play games here and there. I'll mention the specs just so people can have an idea of what pairs with this RAM kit for a photo editing rig:

Intel i7-3930k
Samsung EVO 750 GB
NVIDIA GTX 770
2TB Segate Barracuda

With 32 GB of RAM in this machine, I can group-select photos in Lightroom, send them to Photoshop to make a large panorama, have many Chrome tabs open, and (just for testing) run a new FPS game from 2013 on max settings at 1080p. I stepped up from 16 GB because simultaneously running Lightroom and Photoshop during panorama production would take up quickly ALL of my RAM. The system would then revert to VRAM on the primary disk and - boom - a powerful machine would crawl like a x386. While I can still max out the RAM usage if I try, 32 GB is far from a bottleneck. If you are in need of a reliable RAM and require a low-profile kit at a reasonable price, this is a great option!

Cons: Even though this kit is priced more competitively than other options, it was still $320! The common saying that "RAM is cheap" tends to apply to lower density sticks. Also, if the most intensive thing your system does is gaming, don't bother with this much RAM. Having 16 GB will let you run all your games while a lot other things are still up in the background, but you could still get away with 8 GB (at the time of this write up).

Other Thoughts: Sticking lots of RAM in a tight spot can present annoying challenges, and this kit offers a stylish solution. I am very happy with my choice.
