Positioned at the intersection of performance and value, Chronos SSDs provide next-generation SSD responsiveness by utilizing asynchronous NAND Flash technology. Say goodbye to rotational hard drive sluggishness by adding a Chronos SSD to your system today!

• INDUSTRY-LEADING PERFORMANCE
Driven by the second generation of SandForce SSD controller (SF-2281), the Chronos Series is designed and built to unleash the full potential of the 6Gbps SATA III interface. The Chronos pushes the limits in both sequential and random data transfer rates, significantly improving your productivity, gaming, multimedia, and overall computing experience.

• A SUPERIOR PC EXPERIENCE
In addition to maximum performance, a Chronos SSD upgrade promotes cooler, quieter, and more energy efficient conditions compared to traditional mechanical hard drives. With no moving parts, SSDs provide peace of mind with their superior durability and reliability. Chronos series SSDs work in perfect harmony with next generation platforms and operating systems to deliver the ultimate storage solution.

• TRIM SUPPORT
The Chronos Series SSDs offer native TRIM support featured in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Designed to maintain the performance of SSD at an optimal level over the lifetime of the drive, TRIM functions by actively deleting invalid data from the SSD’s memory cells to ensure that write operations perform at full speed. Since a memory block must be erased before it can be re-programmed, TRIM improves performance by pro-actively erasing pages containing invalid data, allowing the SSD to write new data without first having to perform a time-consuming erase command.

Cons: None as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Friend talked me into these, figured i would try them. Other choice was the OCZ's.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Great

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced MKNSSDCR120GB-7 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: So Far running perfect. This little baby is handling a few of my virtual servers. So Speed is very important. This ssd gives my rig full potential, and the only speed limitations are coming from the other hardware.

Cons: Nothing is wrong so far

Other Thoughts: Great price too

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome, fast drive

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced MKNSSDCR120GB-7 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Fast
Did I mention its fast? Cuz it is.
No reliability issues thus far

Cons: It doesn't make me pancakes?

Other Thoughts: Seriously a speedy little guy. I use this as my OS partition and to store a couple of my more frequently played games and it blazes. Boots Win 8 in about 7 seconds after POST and flips the bird to lag. Highly recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsThis drive SUCKS! Stay away!

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced MKNSSDCR120GB-7 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Fast, when it is working.

Cons: Completely crapped out within two months of light desktop use. Bios won't even recognize the drive anymore, now I have to completely reinstall Windows 7. Thanks, Mushkin!

Other Thoughts: I have a Kingston drive that is still going strong and gets a heck of a lot more usage. Stay away from Mushkin, the other bad reviews are right!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced MKNSSDCR120GB-7 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Good Price, Fast, Decent storage space

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I bought on sale for $60, and installed windows, a few games, and a few other programs on this drive, and kept all my files on my old drive. So far, it runs very quick, Windows boots in about 15 sec (took about 60 sec on my old drive). I would not store movies, music, or any other files on here because you would fill the drive up way too quick.

2 out of 5 eggs1st one DOA

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced MKNSSDCR120GB-7 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: The 2nd disk I ordered (240GB version) works just fine. Windows boots fast and has plenty storage. Good deal when on sale combined with Google Wallet offer.

Cons: 1st drive (120GB) version was DOA. Neither of my computers would recognize the drive. I tried several SATA ports/cables and power supply.

Other Thoughts: I used Newegg's mobile app to purchase so I could get the Google Wallet discount. Unfortunately Newegg does not allow me to use my Shoprunner account on the mobile app so I had to pay for return shipping (luckily it was small and cheap to ship). If you think you may need to return an item and you have Shoprunner, skip the mobile app and use the website. In the future, I will probably just use the mobile app for browsing.

5 out of 5 eggsoh wow, night and day

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced MKNSSDCR120GB-7 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: this thing is fast, i had a repair shop put it in my laptop yesterday, i been taking huge advantage of the laptop more now then i have ever with the original seagate hardrive that it had. I could not do much and loading as well as system stability was horrid. With this ssd, i had 4 programs installing and a video from youtube playing and now im writing a review all at the same time! major difference. i dont care on the amount of time with boot up and stuff like some people are, i am happy that the life of my laptop is much more reliable and less hesitant feeling to use. On the other hand, i turned the previous hdd into a backup external, so win win!

Cons: =little spendy on the per gig (but this is expected knowing
that transfer rates of this drive is pretty quick)
=unsure of firmware options with mushkin website
=wish it was 128 instead of 120, i already knew what was going to buy and under 100 dollars, 120 gig drive is a happy medium for me.
= should have bought one more

Other Thoughts: seeing the other mushkin drives on here had more storage, but was more expensive, and the 240 version was only on sale for 100, i am pretty happy with this little guys booster punch it gave to a laptop that i believe just did not have the right type of drive for it! from molasses to ferrari speeds.

as i wrote in cons, i really didnt think it was much of a con since i knew what i wanted to get and i got an affordable little hardrive that did not cramp this computer, battery life is easily half hour longer or more.

just for having played with this drive for a day, i have noticed the major increase in my productivity as well as how more responsive my system has become. What i said in the pros section is pretty legit reguarding speed, i mean i could not even do 2 or 3 things at once with the factory hardrive, it would slow down and i would end up staring off into middle distance with my mouth open, waiting for it to load at least a 2 minute video, it was just a bad cost effective move to have something like that bog the system let alone bloatware but i digress on that.

i am amazed at how much i was able to install at one time while playing a HD youtube video, run a scan and adware scan, and the bootup straight to desktop! i was shaking my head at how much relief i got after seeing the difference and then venting at the repair guy of how bad the other drive was (it wasnt terrible, just a bad choice for this type of setup). the guy was smiling and giggling cuz he knew my pain lol, so its all good, now i can use this hooked up to my tv if i want to use less power then my desktop to watch movies or facebook and what not!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive and cheap!

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced MKNSSDCR120GB-7 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Fast, small, and it delivers. My average boot on Windows 8 from total power off is about 15-20 seconds. From a sleep state it turns on and is ready to log in before I sit down in my chair. I'd definitely buy another one of these!

Cons: Not a big deal but it is only 120gb which is about 112 or so when plugging it on the first time. Not a problem if you keep that in mind or spend the extra money for a 250.
