Pros: Where a Samsung of similar capacity was DOA -- or at least couldn't be recognized by the BIOS -- and had to be returned (to a different vendor), this came right up, responds well, and cost only 2/3rds as much.

Other Thoughts: Using 4 on LSI SAS 3, 12 GB/s in Dell T7910 Workstation in Raid 0, throughput is 1.3 GB/s Write, 1.6GB/s Read. New controller seems fine. Mushkin did it again! Good speed at reasonable price. Inexpensive Raid 0, 1/3 the price of NVMe drives.
Great for large Video Files
Picked up for twenty less than regular price.

Pros: The drive had a fast transfer rate while copying data. Formatting was also very fast.

Cons: Could not get the drive to boot up. Format - yes, install operating system - yes, boot - no. System would recognize the drive as a second hard disk, and then it just went away. Replaced with Samsung EVO 512. More expensive but worked right away. Samsung cloning software also worked well.

Pros: -Affordable
-Large size (449 GB usable)
-Plenty fast for my needs (505MB/sec read, 392.7MB/sec write)

Other Thoughts: Below someone complained that this drive shows only 450gb instead of 480gb. In the computer world, 1k=1024 not 1000. So 480gb in the decimal world is in actuality 447gb (= 480gb/(1.024)^3 ) in the computer storage terminology). Please don't complain about the storage size out of your lack of knowledge any more.

Pros: -Inexpensive (good price/value ratio)
-Efficient upgrade for older systems (without buying a new one)

Cons: -TLC (if you believe the whole TLC vs MLC NAND thing)
-3 year warranty (I actually would like seeing at least 4 year as an industry standard - it would be more comforting and assuring to know that the manufacture stands behind it)
-Definitely not the fastest, but priced accordingly (if you catch it on sale)

Other Thoughts: I have ECO2 series (512GB) and this one. While I do not see a difference in real life usage between the two drives, 512 GB ECO2 drive has MLC NAND while ECO3 has TLC NAND. My coputer has SATA II connection so it is not able to fully utilize read/write speeds of this drive, but my Windows 7 loads within 15s after BIOS screen (used to be 1-1.5 minutes easily). One thing that still bothers me (just like ECO2 series), Mushkin touts it as the only manufacture who designs and assembles their products in USA (that is their marketing gimmick even on their website), but this drive has "Hecho en Mexico" sticker right on the from of the drive. I do NOT care where the drive is made as long as it is reliable, but such marketing ploys are irritating me and does not make a good impression towards Mushkin. I hope Mushkin addresses it.

Pros: When I bought this drive there were no reviews and it was only $109.99! Great speed, good quality, at a great price!

Cons: The price went up and might again!

Pros: Wow, it really sped up a refurb laptop I bought. Plug n play on my elitebook 8560p with i7 2620m. Did a clean install, drivers were a pain but manageable.

Cons: Windows recognizes only 450 gigs or so. I expected this, but it is a shame. One star off for this.

Other Thoughts: I also bought new ram in a separate order. Next time I'll Shell out the extra for shipping so they can arrive in the same week. Will do a ssd speed test when I have my ram installed too.

Pros: I was a bit on the fence with this drive before purchasing. It was 109.99$ when I purchased it and I had never really bought cheap SSD's. I come from already owning a few Samsung 850 Pro drives. I wanted to try something new and this was really cheap to had to my array of drives. I was suprised on performance. My tests showed a max read of 410 and a write of 386. Which in my opinon, I really didn't expect much. Now my samsungs are obviously in the 560 read 490 write area alone without raid. But for this drive to be a so inexpensive I was very pleased. Continuing on building a workstation PC,HTPC & Home Server. I might consider picking up a few more of these in the near future.

Cons: None at this time.
