Pros: This drive has worked great so far. Performance is much better than HDD as to be expected. I haven't bench marked it against the 850 Evos yet but I think that these offer better value. Evos do offer a 5 year warranty compared to Mushkin 3yr.

Cons: None yet, time will tell

Other Thoughts: This drive is the boot drive for my windows 10 media center PC. Its connected to an onboard sata II connection. Someone has posted this is a laptop only drive which makes no sense.

Pros: Price was right.

Cons: Drive was unreliable; originally, I thought I was having problems with a USB accessory causing boot issues until I attempted to boot up on day 30 after my order and got "no drive found."

Other Thoughts: NewEgg won't RMA because I tossed the original packaging. Waiting on Mushkin now.

Pros: Exactly what it says it is at a great price.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Having not had it long, stability and lifespan are the real questions.

Pros: It's a SSD, SM2256. Works fine if boots up in Laptop. Designed for Laptop only.

Cons: SM2256 technology which just came out. BIOS and/or OS having trouble reading/loading to file or disk management using Desktop PC. I had to play with because I sold to a third party. I'm glad I did. Installed on a Dell Laptop with no problem. In the Desktop PC build the SSD took me for a loop. Not designed for a Desktop as main drive.

Other Thoughts: Company need to test SSD before marketing. This was my fist time purchasing a Mushkin product; well, require a lot of improvement. No way possible with today's technology a OS shouldn't read a SSD. My advice is to test SSD via USB, BIOS and OS to ensure compatibility. Pros: Quicker boot times obviously. Installed on a Alienware m11x r2.

Cons: Seem to be having many drive errors pop up. Windows 10 crashes consistently. Have to power off and on to get back to working.

My desktop has a crucial drive and I haven't had one issue with it for 3+ months.

Will keep posted if I figure out something else is causing the errors but for now I'm not happy with this drive.

Other Thoughts: My experience with computers in general is all self taught. I run a custom desktop which I built and also a Asus g46vw with no issues.

If anyone has any thoughts on what else might be causing the problems I would be happy to listen. I'm open to changing my review if resolved.

Pros: Where a Samsung of similar capacity was DOA -- or at least couldn't be recognized by the BIOS -- and had to be returned (to a different vendor), this came right up, responds well, and cost only 2/3rds as much.

Other Thoughts: Using 4 on LSI SAS 3, 12 GB/s in Dell T7910 Workstation in Raid 0, throughput is 1.3 GB/s Write, 1.6GB/s Read. New controller seems fine. Mushkin did it again! Good speed at reasonable price. Inexpensive Raid 0, 1/3 the price of NVMe drives.
Great for large Video Files
Picked up for twenty less than regular price.

Pros: The drive had a fast transfer rate while copying data. Formatting was also very fast.

Cons: Could not get the drive to boot up. Format - yes, install operating system - yes, boot - no. System would recognize the drive as a second hard disk, and then it just went away. Replaced with Samsung EVO 512. More expensive but worked right away. Samsung cloning software also worked well.
