1 out of 5 eggsComplete trash

Pros: As advertised for first month or so

Cons: Heat spreaders warp and the compound used to adhere them to the chips is ineffective at holding them to the chips. Inevitably one or both of the modules go bad over time and its a short time - a matter of months, depending on how hot they get. All of this will happen, even at lower voltages such as 2.20 v and has happened ot me now on four, yes for different pairs of modules!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, it sounds as though your memory has been running very hot. This is typically due to applying excessive voltage. If not, possibly a fan blowing on your memory will help. This product has a very low failure rate overall. Thanks

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: worked great right out of the box as expected on my EVGA 680i.
After seeing the new prices over what I first paid, I am ordering another set today!!

Cons: NONE as for the product itself read below

Other Thoughts: OCZ rebates not honored. I buy some products based on their rebates. This gives me a chance to buy a product line that I may have past on outherwise due to pricing. Everyone does it right?! I am extremely careful when sending all the info they request, making copies, having someone else double checking and signing each on sent. I have eliminated the standard excuses for not honoring the rebate. Even after faxing my copy of the proof they asked for I still never recieved the rebate from this company. This is not a complaint about the RAM, I still am going to buy another set of the same to finishing filling holes in my MoBo. Just note their weakness in the rebates.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great overclocker, Worked immediately in my Asus P5n32-e sli plus which is particular about RAM, Price after rebate is great for the level of performance

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: I'm impressed with this RAM. I typically buy Kingston but this purchase may cause me to consider OCZ in th future. I was able to get this RAM up to 1050 mHz at 5-5-5-15 2T and stock 2.1V. Considering that the RAM is rated up to 2.3V I probably could have pushed it farther but I haven't tried yet.

3 out of 5 eggsHmmm... ok

Pros: Performs as expected, good deal.

Cons: the heatspreaders warped and pulled away from the chips on the ends. I don't think they're a good design at all, and may well be only for show.

Other Thoughts: Mobo didn't recognize the timings and seems to run them at slower timings. In fact, a number of strange things happened when trying overclocking, but it could well be the motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsKNOW YOUR CHIPSET

Pros: To the guy who said it was recognized as ddr 400 instead of ddr2 800, DDR2 800 IS DDR 400 DOUBLE PUMPED. When you forced it to run at "ddr2 800" you were really pushing it to "ddr2 1600."

Cons: Also, MOST CHIPSETS CANNOT RUN 1T! Make sure you know whether your chipset can run 1T or not!

Other Thoughts: Manufacturers shouldn't count on customers doing research...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Works as it should. Very good RAM and I have 4 gigs of it! Great price as well.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: People complaining that it doesn't run as advertised, are wrong. You have to enable EPP, in order to get those timings! Make sure your mobo supports this type of RAM, before you buy.

5 out of 5 eggsYou need a 590 chipset !

Pros: I have 4Gb of this running on a GA59SLI-S5 MB with 64x2 5200 CPU and it works as marketed .

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It only reads 3.5 instead of 4 Gig but I think that is normal . I believe you can go to BIOS and change a setting to get the full reading ?

1 out of 5 eggsBad Choice

Pros: Shiny.

Cons: After struggling with timing issues and a non-existent tech support, EVGA tech ended up helping me figure out I had a bad chip. When OCZ tech did finally call me back (THREE days later & at 9 p.m.!), he blamed it on the mobo - wrong. Tested chip and it comes up bad.

Other Thoughts: Will never buy from them again. Stay with Cxxxair, Kxxxston, etc. for reliability, or better yet, contact your MB manufacturer and ask a tech which memory he/she would buy.

2 out of 5 eggswouldn't do again

Pros: Looks cool. EPP is great feature. I got it to work, but had difficulty.

Cons: Tech support sucks. Took them 15 hours to call me back. After enabling the EPP, memory was not being read as advertised. I kept getting a 4,4,4,15, T2 instead of a T1.

Other Thoughts: Tech support told me they had some bad chips and I had to return it. I forced my MB (EVGA 680i) to force T1 and it works. Still will return memory to get what they advertise.
