3 out of 5 eggsNice lookin ram

Pros: Nice looking ram, seems to go very high speed,

Cons: will not run advertised settings, even with loosening subtimings it still was hard to get past 1150 without serious stability or no post conditions.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we would be happy to assist you with settings to get you running at rated speeds and timings. Please visit the link below and post in the memory section.
Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsPic not right!!!!

Pros: fast runs cool

Cons: First off when you get this ram before installing it> Stop by a auto parts store and pick up some Loctight!!! The barb fittings will not stay thight yes they have a O-Ring but they loosen just installing the 1/4 inch tubing! Yes for everyone out there its a 1/4 inch ID barb.... but the Loctight will keep them form loosing after it sets up and i spent 3 hours fixing 8 barb fittings because they keeps leaking onto the Vid card.

Other Thoughts: after i installed everything i used a old AT PSU to test and bleed my water cooling sys this way i could only power the pumps.. I suggest the same for any custom water cooling setup! after the loctight fix they never get hotter then the water temp.... so it lost a egg from the fact the the fittings needed a glue from the factory!!!!

also not really a issue but the pic is not what you get i got the flex EX not the flex XLC as it sez the modle number is the same but the cooler is not???? i would guess they ran out of the XLC coolers and just used what they had maybe?

4 out of 5 eggsKeep a close eye for leaks

Pros: Huge improvement over my old memory. Might not be saying much because after months of weird problems i finally narrowed it down to the old stuff being defective. But this memory is at a cheap price now (compared to what it once was), it's amazingly fast, very stable. Even at factory settings, i'm more than happy with the performance.

Cons: This may not be a problem for those just using air cooling, but i have an issue with the water cooling side. At first glance, i thought the barb fittings were a machined part of the cooling block. Just by luck i found out that isnt the case, they're threaded in, and one of them was very loose from the factory. That could of been a disaster if i fired up my water pump without noticing that. The barb fittings have almost no threads to screw into the block, maybe 4 or so, so there's not much holding it in. I Put silicone sealer on the threads just in case. There's no real way to tighten them well, by hand doesnt work. I tried using a pair of bull nose pliers on them to get them tight, but just wiggling a hose onto the barb was enough to unscrew them again. I tightened them again with the hoses on...hopefully it'll hold. If i had to do it again i'd use red loctite on the threads to glue them in there. The block appears all aluminum, hopefully there wont be any corrosion later.

Other Thoughts: Not really an issue for me, but these are extremely large memory sticks, probably more than twice the height of my old stuff, could be an issue if you have a small case. Even though i'm more than happy with the performance, i'm not sure how to get them to the advertised 1200, with my motherboard at least. With the stock timing i can only get mine to around 1120, my only other alternative is to set it way over 1300 , but oh well, i'm more than happy at 1120...for now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat overclocking headroom

Pros: I have 4 gig in my liquid cooled setup and love this ram. It is the fastest DDR2 ram you can get and allows for some great overclocks. Runs very cool and efficient on air or liquid.

Cons: I seem to be stuck at 5-5-5-15 timings no matter what. Took some bios tweaks to get it to run at the rated 1200.

Other Thoughts: At this price point these things should be flying off the shelf. I purchased my first 2 gig when the price was well over $100.

5 out of 5 eggsDIXSON01974

Pros: Works great .

Cons: NON

Other Thoughts: People with asus motherboards . U need to set timing manually and change FSB to 225 to run the memory at 1200 . U may need to set cpu voltage up a little .

5 out of 5 eggsUltra Cool ... Cool Looking Too

Pros: I'm guessing the huge water-cooled heat transfer casing does a lot for the memory. The speed clicks along fine ... basically, it screams through my games. Load up time is negligible and I don't even notice any type of lag. I got a set of 2 pair.

Cons: None, completely satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsPerforms As Expected

Pros: 1) Runs 1200 DDR2 @ 3.37 overclocked speed. (FSB is @ 375)
2) Uses a minimum of 2.1 volts. No stability issues so far.
3) Runs relatively cool as a result.
4) Compatible with GA-P45-UD3P mobos.

Cons: Very TALL modules as reported elsewhere. I was compelled to reverse the orientation of the heatsink in order to provide adequate room for memory slot #1.
Therefore, if you're going to use a heavy duty, aftermarket HS, you MUST make room to at least clear that slot, if possible!

Other Thoughts: In order to get this memory to actually run at 1200 speeds, I had to make a few novel adjustments in the BIOS. The primary adjustment is the memory divider. It should be @3.20B-1066. That setting of course works on a GA-P45-UD3P mobo using a Q9650 CPU. If you happen to have another brand mobo and CPU, those settings may be different - I don't know.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great w/low timings Defianlty 1200mhz @ 2.1 - 2.3Volts. Top notch ddr2ram

Pros: This ram runs Amazing. I'm at 1200Mhz with 2.252Volts for the entire last month STABLE, no errors, no crashing or anything..(prime95 passed all stress tests at 1200mhz no problem)
My 1200mhz ram timings are 5-5-5-15-33- 2T @ 2.252Volts (rock solid performance in windows tasking, etc)

I wanted to actually thank the OCZ Community as well as this review, because, I was in the OCZ forums prior to purchasing my first set of the 1200mhz ram, and they helped me choose what was best for my system before i even bought them, and it worked out 100%. In fact I'm going to order 2 more sticks tomorrow so I can complete my ddr-2 build finally and hop on the X58 BUS already and get started on a new build lol.. THX AGAIN OZC for your customer support I will be purchasing another two sticks as soon as they become available through newegg.
As a matter of fact I will also purchase my 2000mhz tri channel ram for my Core i7 build coming up as well from you guys.. Great company. great produc

Cons: should have bought a 2X1gig and another 2X1gig instead of Just 1 set, so I'd have all 4 gigs right now!

Other Thoughts: my system specs:
Evga 780i SLI F TW ATX - PN: 132-YW-E178-A1
Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 4.050ghz -1.35Volts
OCZ Flex xlc 4 gigs (4X1GB) ddr2 1200mhz ram -2.252volts
