Bad dimm!

Pros: I've had one set of these dimms that worked flawlessly in various overclocking environments for 18 months. However, that's expected at this price range.

Cons: Recently purchased another set of these dimms, and one was DOA.

Other Thoughts: A set of DDR2-800 dimms at this rather high price (given today's DDR2-800 prices) should NOT be leaving the factory floor unless they are working. That's something one might expect of DDR2-800s at half of this price, which I avoided for this very reason.

Very disappointed that I will have to hold off a system upgrade and will have to pay to ship these back to newegg...

Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are very sorry for the problem. We fully test each kit in actual systems before packaging. Occasionally a stick that tested good can develop issues when installed and powered up. A replacement kit should work out fine for you, and we aplogize for the inconvenience.

Pros: Works as advertaised

Cons: Can't overclock nearly as much as the older OCZ. I can only manage a stable 932 @ 5-5-5-18

Pros: Great RAM. Easy installation, worked as advertised without a hitch.

Cons: Make sure you have enough space in your case as these babies have a heatsink of their own.

Other Thoughts: I used to use Corsair memory and got sick 'n tired of having a stick or two bad right out of the package. I bought 8 gig of this product (4 x 2gb) and they all worked like a charm. Thanks, OCZ.
