5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck

Pros: I have fried one old stick and the return process was 10X better all around then CoXXXAR RAM return, I have 8gigs of this RAM on my quad boot PC that i game on, on Linux x64 Ubuntu i can rarly get it up to 6 gigs even running 3 VM machines!!! Over the years i have used, MANY brands and when it comes to speed, reliability, costumer service they are second to none. Also can be OD'ed a little and handdle without even flexing, but i run my normal with plenty of speed.

Cons: Cost a bit more then some, but WELL WORTH IT

Other Thoughts: I had one stick i retrurn that was 3 years old and got the newer version of that ram, MANY thanks to OCZ and newegg

5 out of 5 eggsup to 8 gigs now

Pros: Worked just as advertised. Picked up my first set back in February for my new build and they worked just as they were supposed to. Had to do a little minor tweaking, but that's to be expected for RAM like this.
Received my second set for the same system about a month ago and going strong so far. Popped 'em in, reset the timings and off they went.
Attempted some mild overclocking, but decided to stay with the lower latencies instead of higher clock speed.

Cons: Since I purchased my first set, OCZ had reset their specs on this item. It was initially set to run at 2.1v (OCZ support even said they were good typically at 2.0v too) but now the settings state that they are a 2.2v part. Although I have all four sticks working perfectly stable at 2.1v and CAS 4.

1 out of 5 eggs50% is an F

Pros: 1/2 of the sticks of ram worked very well.

Cons: 1/2 of the sticks of ram didn't work at all.

Other Thoughts: I am not very happy about this whole thing.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, please visit our support forums at the link below. We will be glad to help troubleshoot and also to be sure that you have set the correct voltage for this memory (2.2v is required). We hope to avoid the inconvenience of an RMA.
Thank you

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: Does what it says, good timings, overclocks decently. I don't know what the reviewer saying "It won't boot at FSB over 1333FSB". Completely untrue. Running linked/synced, I've gotten it to 1000mhz (2000fsb), and ran 24/7 for months at 933mhz (1867FSB). Unlinked, I've had the FSB up to 2066 and it booted. If you're running it at stock speed, and have the FSB unlinked running higher, it's not the RAM holding you back if it doesn't boot.

Cons: None really, does what I expected it to.

2 out of 5 eggsOverclockers nightmare

Pros: Runs great at 800mhz, FSB no higher than 1066.

Cons: Will not be stable with FSB at 1333, and will not post with ANY FSB over 1333 period. If you plan on OC'ing, buy PC8500 1066mhz RAM or better. 790i does not like OCZ RAM.

Other Thoughts: System:
CPU Q6600 3.0mhz @ 1333/1.35vcore
Mobo EVGA 780i SLI
RAM This RAM
video 2x GTX280
HDD 300gb Velociraptor

5 out of 5 eggsGood memory

Pros: Works at specified timings (4-4-4-15) at the specified voltage. No problems with my EP43-DS3L Gigabyte board either.

Cons: You have to manually set the timings in the bios as it doesn't auto-detect them.

Other Thoughts: Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz (3.0 was stable though, just no need to run that right now)
Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L
OCZ2T800C44GK (2x2gb DDR 800)
PNY GeForce 8800 GT 512

2 out of 5 eggsdissapointed

Pros: Nice heat spreader, nice apearance

Cons: cannot get RAM to run at rated specs.

Other Thoughts: Installed 2 kits on a GA p35ds3l mobo, upped the voltage to 2.2v (won't boot at 2.1v) and stuck at 5-5-5-15 3T. With quite a bit of tweaking, I finally have it stable at 4-4-4-15 3T, but that's still not the rated spec. You shouldn't have to tweak a product to the max just to get the rated specifications out of it. For less money, I could have bought CL5 kits, upped the voltage, and gotten the same performance. I have a feeling this is just CL5 memory with fancy heat spreaders slapped on it, ans OCZ's permission to push more voltage through it. My recommendation: Stay away from this product. Either spend more on better memory, or spend less, and tweak. You'll be spending a fair amount of time tweaking these sticks if you buy them.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we rate speeds and timings for this product as a single kit. Running 2 kits can be more difficult as it increases the load on your memory controller. We will gladly help you with settings if you post on our support forums at the link below.
Thank you
