Seems to work fine
- Pros: Shiny pretty looking (like that matters). Runs fast and cool, easily set to 1600 mhz by my Gigabyte board.
- Cons: Still waiting for it to walk the dog for me.
Working Great
- Pros: Works as advertised. Running at 7-7-7-24 at 1600Mhz and no problems in about 7 months.
- Cons: I would buy another kit but right now its almost twice what i paid in august.
- Other Thoughts: Antec 1200
Phenom II 955BE @ 3.6Ghz Asus M4A78TE 640GB, 750GB Caviar Black, 400GB Caviar Green for mp3 OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 HIS Radeon 5770
Shiny..but....
- Pros: Looks Nice - good price, and does run at its stated speed of 1600.......BUT
- Cons: my E**A P55 mobo defaults it to 1067. when I set the target speed at 1600, it bumps the timings to 11,11,11,30 something
I noticed the voltage was at 1.5, so I bumped that up to the 1.7 recommended. 7,7,7,24 wouldn't boot. 8,8,8,28 booted, passed 2 hrs of memtest, but immediately failed BurnTest and Prime95. 9,9,9,36 also failed, and seems to be stable at 11,11,11,30 something.
- Other Thoughts: Saw some peeps had problems getting the 1.9v version. The stickers on my RAM say it is the 1.7v, so I am hesitant to try cranking up the voltages to see if they are incorrect. Guess I will pick up some RAM at the store today and send these back for refund. Don't want to wait a week or so to replacement RAM which is likely (by the reviews) to be sub-optimal as well.
Built 3 rigs over the past 2 years with no problems - but my last few sets of memory from NewEgg have been faulty (2 by Mus**in and now these)
