2 out of 5 eggsGood tech support, horrible customer service.

Pros: Good for the price. I've used OCZ a lot in the past and their products are good. Fast RAM.

Cons: For some reason, my Gigabyte board didn't detect that they needed 2.1V instead of the 1.8V it used as standard. Yes, that's Gigabyte's fault most likely, but the memory didn't even complain, it just trucked along--blue screening Windows 7 all the way.

Other Thoughts: I contacted customer support about an RMA when I couldn't get the computer to stop blue screening. The technician did a great job of having me try basically EVERYTHING before even getting to the RMA. Finally, after nothing seemed to work, he tells me that OCZ doesn't make DDR2 anymore, and even though my product as a limited LIFETIME warranty, they don't have any DDR2 to replace mine with, but they'd be happy to give me an inferior single-channel stick as a replacement. Gee, I thought "lifetime" warranty meant MY lifetime, not the lifetime OCZ gives to it's product line. I finally found the voltage issue, and the ram seems to be working fine now, but I'd hate to be in the situation where the ram was actually defective, because I'd be given the choice of living with defective RAM, or getting a lower-quality product for my money.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: They seemed nice when i bought them, had nice heatsinks, etc

Cons: I bought 2 4GB (2GB x 2) Packs and of the four sticks of memory, 2 were DOA. Just proves that I should have stuck with Corsair .

5 out of 5 eggsawesome DDR2

Pros: AWESOME DDR2, nice looking heat sinks, worked very well with my Phenom quad core setup. I would recommend OCZ to anyone. No longer using this ram because I upgraded to a DDR3 board with SLi.

Cons: none, this was great stuff.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works

Cons: .

Other Thoughts: This memory works, but I knew well that it would not be without adjusting some settings.

I had to increase the following voltages: memory to 2.1v and the memory controller voltage to 1.65v from 1.5v. The memory timings could not be set to SPD, I had to set them manually to 5-5-5-18 with a DRAM Write Recovery Time of 6. This memory can also run stable at 5-5-5-15. Other than adjusting voltages I believe the DRAM Write Recovery Time was causing boot issues because it was too low when setting the timings to SPD instead of manually.

Another thing I recommend is COOLING the RAM. It has heat spreaders but you still need adequate cooling to help take heat away & cool down the RAM. This RAM gets HOT as I'm sure others do.

Bottom line I haven't experienced any issues with it properly configured.
