Pros: Fast

Cons: 1.6 Firmware was a little flaky

Other Thoughts: About a year into using this SSD, I started to have some issues with its firmware. Contacted customer service and they helped get me back up and running within a day. While I am still new to SSDs, I have a decent amount of tech knowledge, and the customer service people never talked down to me and really knew their stuff. I was impressed and will buy OCZ again!

Pros: Transfer speeds are great. It's nice to be able to say I have one. The performance has kept up fairly well since I got this.

Cons: The plastic on the SATA power connector is very cheap, the L shape on it, kind of broke off. Sweet. But it hasn't caused any problems with it working, just gotta make sure I don't plug in the power connector upside down!

Other Thoughts: This thing cost around $200 when I bought it, glad to see these things are going down in price (kind of).

Pros: Fast in raid purchased over a year ago for the most part I was impressed at the time with read and write speeds enjoyed them more in raid 0 The pc they were was a strictly gaming pc. I secure erased them twice in there life all correct settings were made during install of win7. I truly loved this ssd's but just like reviewer below I soon started getting the chkdsk errors up until one of the two died.

Cons: DIED WAY TO SOON!

Other Thoughts: Would purchase ocz brand again if need be or price was right but for now just picked up a Kingston ssd.

Pros: Worked well for 14 months.

Cons: Died after 14 months. Multiple CHDSK errors and program errors.

Other Thoughts: Same issue as user Yahoo91 and AJS. I had them in RAID0, RAID1, RAID5 and RAID10 (4 of them). I'm a home user, not a heavy database user. I finally gave up and ordered some SATA II Muskin SSD's that are rated well.

Pros: had it for about a year and a half now. It's very fast, access times are great. Wish I had bought a larger one (then I did :-) ).

Cons: I had an issue with windows installed on this drive after a year. Reinstall had trouble as well, ended up using it as an application drive instead of OS drive.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend buying a newer model as they are less expensive, faster, and have higher capacity.

Pros: Fast, good value

Cons: my first one failed after about 6 months. Basically it wouldn't respond until I fully power cycle my system.

Other Thoughts: The OCZ RMA process was pretty painless, but I don't want to RMA things.

Pros: when it worked it works

Cons: ssd became unstable and BSODing after 1 year
RMA's with the same problem

Other Thoughts: For the first year I had no complaints about the drive. Once the 1 year mark hit, the drive became very slow and finally gave up and started to BSOD. Finally, the drive ceased to be detected by BIOS. This was fine since I understand things don't last forever. However, this is where things get bizarre.

RMA was painless and replys from customer support are quick. The first RMA was sent and arrived within 2 weeks. Upon installation, Windows 7 installed fine, but about 45 mins in to using Windows, I got the same BSOD. Obvious thing to do was to restart the computer, but the SSD then became undetected by bios.

I began to suspect perhaps its another component on my computer that is causing the problem. Changed Mobo, still doesn't work. However when the OS is installed on a HDD, the computer runs flawlessly, therefore making me think it can not be my computer. Second SSD was sent and arrived. Same exact issue

Pros: Pros: The drive is fast, silent and easy to install.

Cons: Con: They simply do not last very long.

Other Thoughts: I'm rating the Vertex 60GB drive 2 eggs. If I were rating the company OCZ I'd rate them a full 5 eggs. I received 2 replacements for my 2 failed drives, and I received them without hassle and very promptly. Simply filled out OCZ's online RMA form and they asked a couple questions about how I used the drives (i.e. no RAID here) and they let me ship them both back in the same box with the same RMA#. Couple days later I have 2 new drives via Puro. Excellent customer service! I only wish they weren't the exact same drives because I have ZERO confidence in them. NONE. What are the chances of 2 drives croaking within a week of each other? There must be a design flaw in them. Just read the reviews here.

I have been computing since 1978 and can cut code in several low-level languages including Assembly and C. Have built literally hundreds of PCs over the years. I'm not a newb, and have never seen drives fail this way before. Anyway, good luck if you purchase them.

Cons: Purchased 9/25/10. Died 9/27/11.

Other Thoughts: Same issues as user Yahoo91.

Pros: Great budget SSD when it worked.

Cons: Started losing files and having corrupt data after about 14 months of use. This was my OS drive, and now Windows won't boot up anymore. I guess reliability is not this drive's forte. I would stay away if you're looking for something to last.

Other Thoughts: Also, I gave a review on this product about 1 year ago. Will try to RMA.
