4 out of 5 eggsGood deal!

Pros: Stable and cool!

Cons: Large heatsinks. My msi 790fx-gd70 will only let me run it in 800mhz a channel but maybe I need to do more testing.

Other Thoughts: Only using passive cooling and they run pretty cool, good value. Maybe not as good as some higher end memory although benchmarks were very close.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we will be happy to assist you with settings to get the most form your system. Please visit our support forums at the link below and post in the memory section.

5 out of 5 eggsGood stuff and easy fix

Pros: Great Ram i tighenend up the timings and should have went with the 1600 model due to the fact i had to underclock the ram but other than that works great with my 790i Ultra SLI

Cons: Well like others have stated i had a leak also but if you can build a PC u can fix the problem yourself by taking off the silver ends and theres a alan screw in there, take it out clean out the old silicon and put the screw back in then go to the plumbing department at ur hardware store buy a tube of silicon and put some new silcon in over the screw and put the end cap back on let dry for bout 24 hrs and ur good to go!! not to big of a con considering all the other stuff that goes wrong when your building a PC from the ground up, and saved myself time from having to RMA

4 out of 5 eggsIt sells for what its worth. It's still a good deal

Pros: The price is pretty good. If you don't overclock, the speed is right on.

Cons: I have a problem keeping them stable over 1500 when i overclock my fsb past 460.

Other Thoughts: Its a decent set but it is really easy to loosen the barbs. I had to rotate the tubing and brace clockwise to keep the barbs on tight. I noticed that people had leaks after a few months and that is probably due to tension in you tubes pushing against the barbs counterclockwise. I twisted mine ccw on the water splitter so the tension was tightening the barbs and im sure that will keep it for leaking.

1 out of 5 eggsI expect more out of this memory

Pros: The mem works great as stated 2000mhz @8-8-8-30 timings with 2.0V

Cons: I got the memory applied 10psi of air and it leaked, I check the barbs and they were loose. After tightening there was still a small leak, I then sent them back for replacement. Got my new sticks and same deal, this time I removed the watercooling and bought Koolance mem coolers and those have no leaks at 50psi. My final thoughts on the cooler on the memory from OCZ is it simply doesn't work. They might try and blame people for not tightening their hose clamps but its really their barbs that need more attention at the factory.

Other Thoughts: Would OCZ be kind enough if the leak damages the motherboard to replace some of the peoples damaged motherboards?
I know the answer will be a no. But if you are very confident that your memory won't leak why not then simply warranty the motherboard if your memory causes the leak.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we have had a few random reports of similar issues. In response, quality control has looked into the installation process, and all current stock should be consistent and leak free. Possibly you received an old stock kit. We care about quality and want every customer experience to be a positive one. In the rare case where a product has failed and is believed to have caused system damage, we inspect the components, and at our discretion will replace them. It is not our policy to abandon our customers.
Thank you

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Pros would be if the price was $50, but it's not. So I don't really see any pros to buying this and having a leak. For $50 I would go with a different aftermarket cooling setup.

Cons: Great review Thornfoot on 7/16/2009
I just had contacted OCZ and asked them specifcly if they found the reason why people wrote reviews of the leaks, and I was lied to. The response was: (copy&paste from my email)
"As far as leakage goes, the most common cause of leaking is improperly attached tubing. So long as the tubing is hooked up to the barbs properly you should be okay."
Why didn't they tell me what you told us Thornfoot, that some cases the screws are loose and barbs are loose and need to be tightened.
You should have gave them only 1egg, you got lucky it didn't destroy your mobo and graphic card.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, these reviews are intended for customers that have purchased a product. We cannot substantiate customer comments here, but we do work with those that have issues, and will replace any defective product. All water cooling installations require extra care and attention to insure against leakage. If a customer feels that they have an issue, we ask them to contact OCZ at the link below for a quick resolution. We have heard of very few leakage issues over the life of this product.
Thank you

3 out of 5 eggsIt leaked

Pros: Liquid cooling.

A quick dry test of this memory at 2.0v brought the temperature up to 112F after windows boot just running the desktop (There were no internal fans to help cooling)
With the water lines connected the temp stayed at 82F even during stress testing with Sandra.

Cons: Terrible assembly oversight.

Loose screws I can take care of although I would rather not see that in a liquid cooling product. Stripped screws mean its time to send it back.

Other Thoughts: I ordered 2 sets of this memory and all 4 modules fit nicely into my EVGA 790i SLI Ultra. I checked the tightness of the barb fittings and found 2 a bit loose, but they just needed a quarter turn to fully tighten. After installation while running one module developed a slow leak/seep of about 1 drop per minute. The leak came from the silver metal endcap that is secured with 2 small screws. when I checked the screws they were all very loose so I snugged them up. To be safe I checked my other 3 modules and found 2 slightly loose screws and one screw that was completely stripped and just kept turning and turning. At that point I decided I better RMA the memory.. Ill let you know how it goes.

btw, the leaked coolant ended up on top of my videocards heatsink so I got lucky there 8)

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are very sorry for the problem. We take customer satisfaction seriously and will look into this issue. Your replacement kit should work fine for you.
Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsanybody working at the customer support

Pros: I don't have this yet, I only have couple of questions for OCZ, especially concerned about why other people had leaks

Cons: I emailed OCZ twice and never got a respond. It's been about 2 months now, I really want to get this mem, but how can you not respond back within 2 months.
I just have some technical questions about the manufacturing of this memory, if you can't answer then you could at least ask the engineers and get back to me with an answer.

Other Thoughts: Why buy from you now, maybe I get the mem and it dosnt even work, and I try and get it warrantied and you never respond.
Another thing I didnt like, is the time it took for my previous memory mail in rebate. Took quiet some time. I thought I would have to wait 1 year, but 4 months is not that bad I guess.
Common OCZ you have such a great memory line up, just keep up your customer service

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are not sure who you may have emailed, but our support tech work from a ticketing system available at the link below. If you submit a ticket or give us a call we will respond promptly. We are sorry that you didn't get an email back, but we don't list email addresses for technical questions, due to email reliability and spam issues. 3 out of 5 eggsSo Much Pain

Pros: This RAM ran good for about 6 months at 2000mhz. Then, the one spot it ran 100% stable after was 1333mhz. Didn't really get too warm. When it was running stable I got a 32K 3DMark Vantage benchmark and this RAM was in my opinion the weak point, barely beat out my 1066mhz DDR2 Dominator. Probalby could have got a way higher score with better RAM, although 32K is amazing, but mostly due to 4.0ghz CPU at 1800mhz FSB with GTX280 XXX 3 way SLI.

Cons: After the first 6 months it just wouldn't run anywhere I wanted it too. Tried linking and syncing the RAM with my FSB at 1800 and 1600 and it wasn't stable for long at either frequency. Or anything in between for that matter. Tried running unlinked, you name it, I did it. More blue screens than I can count, now I'm seeing blue screens in my sleep. And the one biggest problem this RAM has is alluminum guts. You can't mix copper and alluminum in a liqiud cooling system or you'll get corrosion. Probably what caused the leak in the system of the guy who wrote the review where the whole system got fried.

Other Thoughts: I paid almost $300 for this stuff when I bought it. Now it's crazy cheap. Hmm? Wonder why? Trust me, go with the Dominator, I did after this stuff and now I'm flying like never before. 2x2GB 1800mhz Dominator, not cheap but runs beautiful on my Striker II Extreme.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry that you are having problems. Please visit our support forums at the link below for help with troubleshooting and settings. If you prefer, you can visit the support link below and create a support ticket to start the RMA process. We seal the water path so that galvanic corrosion will not occur in water cooled systems.
Thank you

Pros: did work good, wrote the review below

Cons: awesome, so i wake up this morning to about 100 blue screens, my memory leaked on the inside now. im pretty sure it fried my motherboard as well, i cannot boot into windows, took memory out and borrowed some from a friend and now im able to post but when i try to reinstall windows or anything i get more blue screens, thanks a lot ocz as im sure im out the 800 bucks i just spent on my new parts. will be calling ocz to complain, and hopefully they can do something for me.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we have used this memory in many builds and have not heard of the heatspreaders causing a leak. Are you sure that all connections were made properly and that you have used proper fluid? Please visit the link below and create a support ticket.
