OCZ's Blade Series DDR2 memory modules sets new standards for high speed memory modules. This enhanced bandwidth, dual channel 4GB kit is rated to run at 800MHz and has CL 4-4-4-15 timings for blazing performance.
Keep things cool with OCZ exclusive High Efficiency heat spreaders. Employing a new propriety design, the spreaders feature numerous channels that increase the surface area to more efficiently offload heat away from the memory chips and PCB.
Cut through the competition and push your gaming or overclocking rig to the extreme with the OCZ Blade DDR2 memory.

Info
- Pros: I just got mine today. And as always NewEgg rocks. I have yet to get a chance to do any testing on them or get them installed, so I will add another review later. I just wanted to come list some measurements of this kit for those worried about thickness or height issues.
- Cons: None at the moment.
- Other Thoughts: In comparison the MushkinXP XP2-6400 DDR2 800 2x1GB kit this is replacing, and my old Kingston HyperX DDR 500 2x512MB kit KHX400/512R, here are some quick measurements with the heatspeaders:
Kingston Kit - 7mm thickness / 3.4cm tall(bottom of PCB to top of heatspreaders tallest point)
Mushkin w/Frostbite Heatspreaders - 7.5mm thickness / 3.8cm tall(bottom of PCB to top of heatspreaders tallest point)
OCZ Blade Kit: 8.5mm thickness / 4.7cm tall(bottom of PCB to top of heatspeaders tallest point)
One thing I noticed immediately, is these suckers are heavy. You can definitely feel the weight of the solid Aluminum Heatspreaders. I expect the temps and heat dissipation to be very good.
I will re-post in a week or so after I have had a chance to test them out a bit for overclock speeds and such.
OCZ Blade Series Review
- Pros: The OCZ Blade Series RAM is very tough, and sleek looking. It's as easy as installing them, and playing. I had my Grandma install them, that's how easy it was. [Laugh]
- Cons: If your DIMM slots are all close together, you'll have trouble squeezing in 4 of them.
- Other Thoughts: Buy it. Let Grandma install them. Play.

Great Memory
- Pros: Runs at Spec timing//voltage, Looks great in my case with a side window.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Heat spredder are HUGE. I barely was able to get them in the slots. concerned about conductive heat, they are all touching.

Great RAM for the money
- Pros: powered down PC, unplugged power, took out old RAM, put in new RAM, plugged it back in, started PC, instantly recognized 2gbs of RAM, no problems at all. Haven't noticed any real performance increase other than working with many high resolution pictures, it speeds up the process. Great price compared to retail stores and pretty cool looking too.
- Cons: none
Great deal
- Pros: Great looking and fast and cheap :)
- Cons: fat heatsinks :(
