5 out of 5 eggs8GB of Awesomeness

Pros: Great ram. Works as advertised!

Cons: Uh, it wasn't magically 16GB?

Other Thoughts: Installed in my P-7811FX (gateway laptop) - making it feel even faster under heavy multi-tasking. 8GB is awesome and not really overkill if you like multi-tasking a lot.

5 out of 5 eggsFAST

Pros: Competitive price, fast performance, rapid delivery.

Cons: No Cons.

Other Thoughts: Replaced 2x4 GB OEM memory in my Windows 7 x64 HP laptop with 4 x4 GB OCZ. Yes, this model has 4 memory slots. Sold the 2 OEM SO-DIMMs to another family member.

Windows Experience raised the memory score one notch. Only PC3 10666 product I found with 9-9-9-20 instead of 9-9-9-24 CAS rating. CPU-Z confirms the manufacturer's specs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great in 2009 iMac

Pros: Easy to install, works right out of the package. iMac 3.06 C2D from 2009 booted right up and recognized 8GB and the 1333 speed.

Cons: None noted

Other Thoughts: Should have bout 3 sets and upgraded my other systems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: Works great in my Asus G73JW. Maxed out at 16 GB!

Cons: None that I can think of

Other Thoughts: Anyone with the G73JW, be prepared to get your tools out! 4th memory module is under the keyboard. Have to almost take the entire laptop apart to install.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Compatible with Lenovo w510

Pros: Price

Cons: Bluescreens at random when installed in Lenovo w510.

I installed 16gb the day I got a new W510 and thought I had a defective laptop because the ram passed memtest. Finally after 3 months we have found this ram to be the culprit.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the problem. It sounds like you are having a problem running 2 kits for a total of 16gb in your new laptop. The kits are rated and sold as 8gb, and running 2 kits doubles the load on your memory controller. Please visit our support forums at the link below for further assistance. Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsNice price, good quality.

Pros: Good price, good quality.

Cons: None so far, but we'll wait to see how long it performs well. I was happy with my OCZ HDD too before it died unexpectedly.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Memory, nice timings

Pros: Dropped right into my Studio XPS 16 and it worked like a charm. Definitely noticed a difference from the 4 GB that were installed. We do a lot of XP virtualization, thought. Timings are among the best out there.

Cons: Gskill is now on sale for $89.99

Other Thoughts: Worked with no issues in my system at full potential.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Poor RMA Service from OCZ

Pros: Fast shipping, good price and memory worked as advertised, for a while...

Cons: One stick of the pair failed after 3 months. RMA issued quickly but OCZ has had memory for 15 days and will not return calls or update on ETA. Beware the level of service if the product fails.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the difficulties. We attempt to handle every RMA as quickly as possible, and it is our policy to answer every phone call as well. Please call our support manager at (408) 733-8400, ext 206, so that we may better serve you.
Thank you

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: N/A

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Ok, I bought this to upgrade my mid-2010 Core 2 Duo 13" Macbook Pro. This memory will absolutely not work in the new core 2 duo MacBooks. This is not a con against the memory, rather a con against Apple, but these are things that you have to deal with if you have an Apple computer. From what I understand, MacBooks require 1066 DDR3 memory, and will not work with 1333. If I install 1 original module and 1 of these modules, it works just fine, because the bus is running at the speed of the slowest module, 1066 Mhz. With both modules installed, it will hang on boot. This may or may not be the case with the Core i5 and i7 macs, but it is the case with the Core 2 Duos. I still rated it 5 stars because I'm sure it's great memory. Blame Apple for this one, considering that PCs will automatically downgrade the memory bus speed to match the memory installed.
