Talos 2 SSDs leverage VCA 2.0 to boost transactional performance and provide a complete range of enhanced features, making it the ideal drop-in replacement for multiple hard drives in enterprise storage systems. Datacenters can now deploy an SSD solution that delivers superior application performance, all the necessary enterprise capabilities, and substantial power savings, at a significantly improved total cost of ownership.

This review is from: OCZ Talos 2 C Series TL2CSAK2G2M1X-0960 2.5" Dual-Port SAS 6.0 Gbit/s (Full Duplex/Active-Active) Synchronous Mode Multi-Level Cell (MLC)
Pros: Fast, reliable, works well with VMware ESXI 5.0 (shows up as SSD rather than unknow like some SSD). Worth the money for the near 1TB SSD in a high density high IOPS package. AFAIK there are no other enterprise 1TB SSD's available.
Cons: Doesn't work with any Dell PERC controller I have tested.
Other Thoughts: POSTING THIS TO HELP OTHERS, the product is great provided your controller is compatible.
I currently have a few servers running a mix of OCZ velocity II's and Crucial M4's and the PERC h200 and h700 work very well with them under ESXI. Dell's HCL for the r815 server only allows for small SSD's that they sell for $2300+. I needed more storage at a better price so I went off the HCL again and tried a Talos2 960GB. Talos2 drives aren't recognized at all on the H200 and although the H700 will pick them up, after 5 minutes the controller flags them as predicted fail no matter the config (both raid and nonraid). They seem to work correctly under predicted fail but I decided to drop the PERC h700 and go with a non-perc controller.
Not a huge fan of PERC but as a DELL house you can't get away from it without running into warranty and support issues.
So if you are stuck using a h200 or h700 PERC stick to the consumer level SSD's and don't buy a talos2.
