4 out of 5 eggsAwesome drive

Pros: Fast drive

Comes with 3.5" tray adapter

It's an SSD

Cons: Small drive

Other Thoughts: I bought the small drive to install the windows OS and the user data is held by an array of traditional HDD's.

Here may be a helpful benchmark

5 out of 5 eggsMakes anything fast!

Pros: Cheap
Fast
Came with adapter bracket for 3.5"
Works well with Sata II socket MSI A55M-P33 FM1 mobo from MSi and with only a 2.5GHz A4-3300 APU never had a hickup.

Upgraded CPU in rig to an A8-3850 and it feels just as fast as my FX-6200 rig which has an SSD on SATA III

Cons: None so far...

Other Thoughts: Including the adapter is a great move and this is a great drive don't hesitate to buy this drive I have used This and 2 Samsung SSDs and its performance is in the same league as the big drives.

1 out of 5 eggsissues but typical - still a good drive

Pros: ive been with the vertex series of drives since the first one, and since i was upgrading the mobo i wanted a sata 3 drive as well. at fiorst this thing looked and was performing like the rocket its said to be --until the bsod and then discheck windows 7 did to it - after that it was a paperweight

Cons: OCZ tools could see it but would not sanitary erase, and windiows wouldnt initialize it fropm another running computer so the new build is back on a vertex 2 and the rma process is underway. in this mass produced world every now and then a rock gets thrown somewhere-- was my turn this time-- all the other OCZ drives ive had and thier ram and power supplies always rock. ill update this review once i get a good one back.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a champ

Pros: The drive is very fast, and as far as I know very stable. I'm using it to hold an encrypted root partition, as well as the boot partition under Ubuntu 12.10.

I thought encrpyting the drive would hamper the performance somewhat, but it doesn't seem to have much effect. Using the "Benchmark" tool that is built into "Disks", I am getting an average read rate of 430 MB/s, with an average access time of 0.13 ms. The drive is filled to about 25% of rated capacity.

Cons: There are no cons to list.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this drive with an ASRock FM2A75-DGS motherboard. On a side note, if you want the trim feature to work under Ubuntu/Debian with a LUKS encrypted partition, edit /etc/crypttab and put "discard" at the end of the line; it will look something like

sda1_crypt UUID= XXXXX none luks,discard

where XXXXX is just a large string of characters. You'll have to rebuild your initial ram disk using

sudo update-initramfs -u -k all

Then reboot. Everything should be fine, and now trim is enabled.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Fast!!

Pros: Got 2 drives for a Raid 0 used for boot drive Under Windows 8 x64. Os is booting real fast (like 10 sec from power on to desktop). Installed some games on it, and they load faster too. If you have a gamer computer but havent switched to ssd yet, it worth it. All hardware inculded and adapter tray for 3.5'' bays. Nice black finish.

Cons: 1st tried to install Windows 7 pro x64 but latest drivers provided for my motherboard wont recognize the raid array at installation of win7. (MB: Crosshair IV Formula) BIOS is updated to latest version:2002. Windows 8 installtion recognized the raid array without having to load any drivers during the process. So it might be an issue if you want to use it in raid config Under win7 with a AMD 890 motherboard. The 3.5'' mounting plate wont fit my case (antec 902) because trheaded holes are to small to use screws provided with my case and I must use those screw instead of screws provided by ocz because of the design of the hard rive bays Inside the case. BTW those drives are so small that I figured out an other way to fit them Inside the case (with some double sided tape)

Other Thoughts: Might have better read/write speed if I used a Raid controller card instead of my motherboard raid controller.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat drive

Pros: Overall a fantastic drive, lightning fast, makes a great boot drive

Cons: Not against the drive, but within a week of buying this drive the 128Gb drives dropped to the same price, so that was a huge disappointment

Other Thoughts: Great drive, it's a little small for a boot drive, but with some file adjustment it works great
