Other Thoughts: Got a brand new RMA, into 2 months use with it, just waiting for another two months before this one dies.

I seen a few other users vectors died 3 months after use. Wouldn't you think there is a problem?

Pros: I bought two of these when they were listed as a shell shocker deal. They are setup in Raid 0 and windows 7 loaded on them. Both have upgraded firmware and have had no issues or complaints. As others reviewed they are blazing fast and reliable.

Cons: None

Pros: Using the Vector in AHCI mode to run OS and applications, and a WDC RE4 500GB drive for data storage, together with a Gigabyte GA-970GA-UD3H rev. 3.0 mobo. My wife's company requires use of a VPN for remote offices, so I am running Citrix XenApp and Citrix Remote Client via Juniper Networks VPN software, all inside a VMware virtual machine because I suspected the company-required software was causing chronic but random glitches on her old PC. The Vector has handled repeated loading and VM configuration testing without a stutter before I settled on the final daily use version. It was easy to update the firmware to 2.0. Could not be happier with how it has performed: fast and reliable.

Cons: The 3.5" desktop adapter had all but one mounting hole unthreaded or incorrectly threaded; OCZ sent properly threaded replacement quickly.

Other Thoughts: I like it so much that I am saving my pennies for the OCZ Vector 512GB model. I have also been using a Patriot Pyro SE 120GB SSD in a similar SSD/HDD arrangement. The then-new Pyro SE would not accept the 5.0.2 firmware update and its performance was sketchy in both AHCI and IDE modes. Patriot sent an updated replacement and the Pyro SE has performed like a champ for the last 6 months. There were no such problems with the Vector.

Pros: Was fast... When it worked

Cons: It died in one month and I'm not sure if I can get it replaced

Pros: I have 2 of these in raid 0. Over 1050mb sequential Reads and 780 writes. I also have 2 Samsung 840 Pro 128gb in raid 0 and the Vector is faster in almost every single benchmark except for the 4k reads and writes. They are both great but I would choose the Vectors for any build. Also with the Vectors you get mounting brackets which are great to have if you have a pc. The samsungs do not come with mounts.

Cons: The Vectors are a little heavy which is okay for Pc but might be a bad thing for laptops. They have a great finish and look to them though

Pros: Blazing speeds. Windows 7 home Premium boots up in less than 15 seconds and shuts down in less than 10. My Windows experience index was being held down to 5.3 by my previous hard disk drive but now that sub-score is up to 7.9 and is no longer holding my computer back. This SSD makes multitasking a breeze and programs install at lightning speeds. I thought the relatively small size of the drive would limit me but all the software I want is installed and I still have half of the drive left (granted I do not have any 20 gig games like Starcraft installed on it). It was also very easy to install in my computer.

Cons: It did take a few days for the computer to fully speed up. This was because I did a clean install of Windows 7 instead of using the included disk copying software. The SSD went to full speed as soon as all of the Windows updates were finished installing.

Other Thoughts: Overall the size is perfect, the speeds are lightning fast, it was easy to install, and for the price, I don't think this drive can be beat.

Cons: Mediocre drive

Pros: Got this drive for $30 off and FarCry3 for free. The drive is very fast, especially since there aren't to many SSD's in that 120/128GB range that really perform for a good price. 5 year warranty was a good selling point.

Cons: No SSD tools for this drive. Very upset about that. The bundled Acronis software works for imaging your current drive, however, it is a scaled down version that doesn't' really tell you what options you can and can't use. It's kind of clunky. Nothing like Intel or Samsung, who seem to have their act together.

Other Thoughts: The drive alone is GREAT. The lack of SSD tools is annoying and the Acronis software is a bit clunky. These software items really made me a bit mad, but once installed the drive works great. Running on a Dell Studio 1558 laptop, which is SATA2.

It has full documentation (147 page user guide) available at ocz.com which outlines requirements, options, and usage, though most of that is in-depth documentation and actual usage is simple point and click. As for monitoring software, our Windows Toolbox and Bootable Toolbox can be used for firmware updates, Secure Erase if needed, and can check SMART data as well as other information. will never get the 130 bucks i spent on this.

Other Thoughts: while a sdd is the fastest memory out there is still relatively new. buy at your own risk. good bye 2 days of of work.
