OCZ Agility 3 AGT3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Super fast, first time I have used an SSD and will be getting more in the future, the load times from this drive are incredible, running win7 64bit and start up times from pushing the button to using windows is less than 20 seconds

Cons: none yet

Pros: Cheap, I can buy two of these for the price of 1 new Intel, Samsung, Crucial that are slower.

Fast, easy setup

Cons: For this price there aren't any cons really.

Other Thoughts: I have bought 5 of these recently I put two in a RAID0 for extra speed so I can capture video in HD smoothly. My single SSD in AHCI wouldn't load the RAID drivers on boot or pre-load them before enabling RAID. I took them out of raid as a friend wanted a drive upgrade.

I put the first one in and DOA. Second one was fine. Maybe these drives aren't RAID friendly, or I got a bad weak drive?

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars as I nevr reviewed any of these drives yet, so 4 out of 5 seemed reasonable. 4 drives get 5 stars, one drive gets 0 stars.

Since these drives are refurbished ( which means these were returned presumably for problems) that I guess I can expect one in 5 to be bad. But at half the price of other SSDs I'll take my chances. If 5 out of six work, I still gain 2 free drives.

PS. These are refurbished drives. ie USED. Do yourself a favor and buy Newegg's extended warranty. They will replace the drive for free and full refund if they can't replace from not being produced anymore.

Newegg have awesome return policies. Best ever..

Now it's time to buy 2more.

Other Thoughts: my friend and i both got one of these drives and have never had a problem. you are going to take a risk buying refurbished but with this its worth it... buy this right now

Pros: Fairly fast, and if it's like the seven other OCZ SSD's in my computers, it should be reliable.

Software tools downloadable from OCZ website for updating firmware.

This refurbished SSD came with the latest firmware installed.

Cons: None so far with the drive itself.

The PC Bootable version of the firmware update toolbox failed to connect with my network, but the desktop version had no problem.

Other Thoughts: I would usually wait longer to write a review, but in light of how many problems owners have reported, I feel I should report that mine was not DOA and has been running reliably 18 hours per day for a week in a RAID configuration with another Agility 3 that I've been using for about a year (I have another Agility 3 I've owned for a while that I'm keeping as a spare).

This is my eighth OCZ SSD (in three computers) but my first refurbished one. The extremely negative reviews about the refurbished ones made me nervous about buying this, so I purchased the extended warranty (something I never do!), though I'm not sure it was really necessary. More on that later.

If you buy this SSD, go to the OCZ website and look for firmware updates. They have toolboxes that are PC bootable or run on a Windows or Mac desktop. For some reason, the PC bootable version would not connect with my network, so used the desktop version.

The Agility 3 can erroneously report excessive temperatures under SMART. The PC Bootable toolbox has a fix for this.

About the warranty: I felt extremely nervous about buying this after reading all the negative reviews, so I bought a two year warranty. After reading the warranty, I think one year would be enough and maybe unnecessart. The warranty coverage is based on the value of the SSD at the time of repair. Considering how the price will drop, in two years the warranty probably won't be worth much. In any case, most problems are likely to occur in the first six months, which the standard warranty covers. Only one of my OCZ drives has ever failed, and it was within the first few months. OCZ was prompt in sending a replacement.

Pros: Fast drive

Cons: Drive died 2nd day while transfering 10+gig file. Was stripped with other identical drive that is still recognized....

Pros: Very fast. Upgrading from a mechanical drive and the difference is of course night and day.

Cons: I'm on my sec return drive. I was smart enough to get a 1 year extended warranty. Time took from install, running it 9hrs. To sending back the SSD to getting one back on RMA is 3 weeks for me. I really hope this is a good drive. It seam from what I have read these drive are either GOOD or BAD. All with the same problems. Good Luck on getting a good one

Other Thoughts: OCZ I don't think is very happy right now. These bad reviews hurt them. And Newegg for keeping this is stock. I would take this off and send them all back to OCZ with all the complaint's. to get 2 bad drives in a roll and on a 3rd for some. what starts out as 80.00 is now 100+ 11.00 shipping x2 Don't get me wrong I love Newegg and I love OCZ. but for that price Buy a NEW ONE

Other Thoughts: should have known with all the people saying this drive fails i had it 4 days that's it!!!!! once my rma is processed Samsung 840 will be the drive of choice. i build computers for a living wont purchase another one of these again

Pros: super fast, I was running 3 wd raptor drives on a raid0 format and I thought those were pretty fast. they booted my system in about 40 seconds. now after cloning my hard drive to the SSD its starts in about 10 secs. I was pretty amazed how fast this really was.

Cons: after reading all the other reviews I'm hoping I don't end up having one of the drives that just randomly dies....so I'm hoping for the best.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend getting a SSD over a HDD anyday. if u got the extra cash and are willing to take a chance and not know if your gonna get a working drive then this is for u otherwise probably best to pass. I will keep this updated as I use the drive longer than 1 day lol

Pros: Seemed fast for the 5 weeks it worked.

Cons: No longer boots up in my system. Newegg directed me to OCZ (closed at 5:10pm PST) and won't honor a return because it's been 5 weeks (just outside of a month...how convenient). Lost over a week of data (at least I backed up April 1st).

Other Thoughts: Was my first OCZ SSD. Can't think of a reason to buy this brand again unless they really right this.
