TRIM Support The OCZ Vertex Plus Series SSD’s offer native TRIM support than can be enabled in Windows 7. Designed to maintain the performance of SSD at an optimal level over the lifetime of the drive, TRIM functions by actively deleting invalid data from the SSDs memory cells to ensure that write operations perform at full speed. Since a memory block must be erased before it can be re-programmed, TRIM improves performance by pro-actively erasing pages containing invalid data, allowing the SSD to write new data without first having to perform a time-consuming erase command.

Even as a refurbished drive this is more reliable. The speed increase of an SDD is amazing. The packaging made it seem like it was brand new. Cons: After 3 weeks I started getting corrupted Windows system files. Can't return to Newegg, so I put in a trouble ticket with OCZ. Somehow the prospect of having them send me another one of these drives doesn't excite me. Other Thoughts: It was cheap so I took a chance. Seemed like a good idea at the time. V for Vegeta 5/21/2013 3:30:56 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 5/5	Rating: 1/5Very Unreliable and Not worth it anyway Pros: Decent Price for an SSD Large enough for Windows 7 or 8 Faster than an HDD Cons: I got one of these about a year ago and it died after a couple months. I then got that replaced and the new one died after a few months, also. If you must have an SSD go with a more reliable brand. Other Thoughts: I don't think I'll be buying another SSD for a long time. Sure it's fast than an HDD but it only load my OS a few seconds faster. I'll just stick with my HDD which has lasted me 6+ years with no trouble. I've had my pc for 3.5 years and the only thing that has gone bad was this SSD, and it's gone bad twice. HDtach xp or win7 and vista (use compatibility mode) pulling 150-156 on old Nv2 chipsets, 175 on core 2 chipsets like 965mobile dell inspiron intel for instance.
