Pros: Good capacity for price (at least when I bought it).
Fast speeds.

Cons: EaseUS would NOT shrink my Windows partition down to this drive, it would get to 16% and fail every time.
I used Clonezilla to swap this SSD with a different SSD in another computer and this OCZ SSD now works just fine. EaseUS was able to shrink the Windows partition down to the replacement SSD, so I don't really know what the problem is. Perhaps its that Firmware "valet" they talk about on the product description page?

Other Thoughts: I bought the 240GB version in 2014. By the time my wife shrunk her C: drive down enough to fit, I could have bought the 480GB version instead. SSDs are progressing way too fast.

Pros: Received today. Easy install, and runs incredibly fast after using a traditional HDD

Other Thoughts: It's a small SSD, it was cheap and it works fine... what more could I want.

Pros: I could talk about the standard stuff like the size and the fact it's an SSD and faster than a HDD, etc. but that's why you by something like this. Pros for this particular drive would be its price (best) and the included software for monitoring it and keeping its firmware up to date. Nice feature to have.

Cons: So far, I've seen no cons, perhaps a comment about how you don't get the whole 500 GB to yourself due to a bigger partitioning, but otherwise, I've been happy with this disk.

Other Thoughts: I've owned some OCZ products for awhile now and have yet to report any failures of any of them. If you're worried about the great price, I've yet to see any troubles from it.

Pros: Fast boot up with clean install.

Cons: A few glitches the first month or so with the OS not being able to boot up without repairing boot sector. Seems to be working fine now.

Other Thoughts: Good value for the size and quality of the brand.

Cons: Freezes after 4 minutes. Requires some immediate update, or it will freeze every time u start Windows after 4 minutes. If u buy this make sure u have anger management and patience because it locks up computer. Might just chuck it out the window!!! I'm still trying to find a fix for this hard drive. Running Windows 7 and using Sata 2 hard drives. Might run better in Windows 10 and Sata 3 hard drive. I should have took my buddies advice and bought the Samsung.. First time I've been let down by OCZ!!! If your computer does not lock u lucked out!!

Excellent performance in my tests. Using AIDA64 benchmark, average linear read was 442 MB/s, linear write was 419 MB/s. Average random read was 273 MB/s, random write was 310 MB/s. Using AS SSD benchmark sequential read was 443 MB/s, sequential write was 431 MB/s.

Cons: Heavy casing – 110 grams. Samsung makes cases from aluminum and reduces weight in half. This is important if SSD is intended for netbook where every gram counts.

Pros: VERY fast! I will not rehash the benchmark data stated in many other reviews, but my results were in line with those. However, this thing boots FAST! From pressing the power button to Windows 10 fully booted: < 20 seconds! A fresh install of Windows on a standard HDD took over one minute.

It is very stable. I've been using it as a primary drive for nearly a month and have had no issues with it at all. I do not know how it will do in the long term, and I have a standard HDD set up just in case, but I have no hesitation in using this as my primary boot drive.

The software is rather nice, but unnecessary for day to day use.

Cons: The software is VERY hard to find on the site, if you do not know the link, and while the link is printed in the manual, it is so small you will get eye strain trying to read it. Which leads to...

The manual requires a magnifying glass to read. It is tiny and the text is very small. I have perfect vision and it gave me a headache reading it. I didn't even notice the link to the software on my first read through.

It would be nice if it were in a 3.5” form factor. I had to buy an adapter to install it in my case. It only cost me $5, but I wouldn't have had to spend anything if it were in a 3.5” form factor. It should also be noted that it lacks mounting screws.

Other Thoughts: I took off one star for the tiny and hard to read manual. It is just simply too hard to read. Overall, the drive performs great.

Pros: this is an excellent drive. its the second drive I have bought from ocz since Toshiba bought them out and I have to say they quality is better than I thought it would be ...I thought ocz where good drives before now they are up there with other makers. the drive is constructed very well it has an aluminum housing with a small 7mm form factor and absolutely no rough edge's really smooth very well put together its not just stamped metal which feels like it might brake in your hands...lol, atto speeds on mine put it at right about what the box says which was 488 read and I think it got a little better than the box on write around 390 write. it sata 3 and has 19 mm memory chips I had around 450 gigs after the system took its share and after os install I had a little over 415 which is good for my gaming machine...as far a ssd's go its not the top of the line but its better than some would might charge more for a lesser drive I would recommend this drive for a budget gaming rig or a laptop you can't go wrong

Cons: there are a couple cons I think for the price they could have thrown in the acronis software so you can clone the drive you currently have but it does not come with it or a 3.5 in adaptor bracket I know most cases don't need them these days but some do and its such a cheap thing to throw in for that extra mile. if they had thrown these 2 things in a would have no problem giving it a 5 star rating but ocz could have done these things just for the customer so I had to redo my os just to use it but I needed the space so I did it

Pros: t works as advertised. This drive met or exceeded my expectations in everything I asked of it.
Fit and finish in good. You won't be ashamed to show it off in a custom build.
High capacity, plenty of room for OS and applications.
Good price for this drive. Comparable with other drives in same class except this drive has a 2,000,000,hr mean time between failure. That's a long time. Most others have 1 – 1.5 million MTBF
The 3 year warranty is nice,
SSD Guru is a plus, but you will have to download it. There is also a Linux version.

Cons: Minimal, but adequate documentation in the box, The print is extremely small. I was looking for the support URL and finally found it in the FAQ section. A link to the SSD Guru software etc. that is prominently displayed would be helpful.

Other Thoughts: The ARC 100 is listed by OCZ as an entry level drive. It is not extremely fast, but plenty fast for all except the speed junkies. I tested with three different utilities and got comparable results with all three. The ARC 100 480g was from 2-3 times as fast as the 4 conventional Hard drives on my system.. This was on a SATA II system. When used on SATA III the speed was increased another 50 -75%.

Th drive is not formatted, the documentation gives specific instructions, if you need them. I suspect that anyone buying this drive will already know how to format.
Booting from this drive is very fast compared to a conventional drive .A utility to make it bootable is on the support page,
This would be a good drive for a laptop or mini desktop. or a media center PC.

I would recommend it without reservation.
