5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Fast. Reliable. Easy. Popped em in my motherboard was up and running in minutes without a hitch. Runs at advertised speed and timings ... which is fast btw! A vast improvement over the 512mb of 333mhz I was running previously. I trust G.Skill and they have not let me down here either. Totally satisfied. I give this RAM and A+.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsG.SKILL is trash

Pros: - Heatsinks make them look cool

Cons: - Everything else!

I bought these for an upgrade to my parent's computer.
These ran at 200mhz and were a huge downgrade from the standard dell ram already in the system (2x256 MHZ DDR 400). There was no way to change the timing/voltage so will most likely RMA. I'm sticking with Kingston/Crucial/Corsair and never buying G.SKILL again.

Other Thoughts: **For others thinking about purchasing this product, read the 1-egg and 2-egg reviews, they tell the truth.

(tested in a Dell Dimension 3000-model tower).

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with your G.Skill memory package. DDR 400 has a real frequency of 200MHz, so that is the correct frequency. DDR is double data rate, so the real frequency x 2 gives you the effective frequency which is DDR 400.

Unfortunately the performance memory package you selected will not be compatible with your Dell System since it is unable to adjust voltage. As a result, you will need to purchase a 2.50V memory packages as stated by the computer manufacturer. For example, the G.Skill F1-3200PHU2-1GBNT would be the ideal memory package for your Dell Dimension 3000. It is also plug and play, so you do not have to worry about changes in BIOS. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Heat sinks, low-latency tight timings; about the best you can get for older P4-era mobos. In a dual channel arrangement with a pair of 1 GB DIMMS I already had (though those had CAS of 3 clock, not 2), but I doubt most people could really tell much difference in performance between CAS 2 and CAS 3; the bigger boost in performance comes from having a full 3.0 GB of RAM instead of just 2.0. I opted for these since 32-bit operating systems like Windows XP Pro that I'm running couldn't use 4.0 GB or RAM anyway with other system devices needing some of that addressable space. I'm happy with them so far, but haven't put it through any "serious" evaluation.

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: With the heatsinks on these DIMMs, the gap between each of these and the other DIMMs I have, also with heatsinks, there is very little space between the two DIMMS in each pair (dual channel, 1x1GB + 1x512 MB in each channel), so I wonder if the heatsinks actually improve cooling or not.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent timings decent price

Pros: Gskill since day one has offered solid performance and a reasonable price. These sticks have seen service in highly oc'd dothans, dual socket A's, three different P4s ranging from northwood b's to later prescots. Each and every system i put these in likes them. Every stick ive used has exceeded advertised specs in timings and fsb rating. Only had 2 stick faliures out of 30 or so sticks installed and one was killed by an honest mistake by a friend and the other simply failed after running 2 years in a overclocked system (dothan 1.7 @ 2.9ghz)

Cons: Would like to see Gskill offer more variety and higher end performance timings.

Other Thoughts: What was once a gamble a few years ago is now and obvious bang for buck choice for ram. Thanks Gskill team for years of solid performance

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Memory for my Dell

Pros: Pretty, and it worked in my Dell Dimension.

Cons: Could be a lot cheaper, but they know this is a final ditch attempt to breath life into older systems.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: My games run faster and I can run more apps at once.
