5 out of 5 eggsAwesome & Works Excellent

Pros: Works with my AMD 754 GIGABYTE MOTHERBOARD
I have an:
-old processor AMD64 3700+
-RAM-3 GIGS RAM:2 184-pin OCZ DDR 400 AT 2.5 LATENCY AND JUST bought G.Skill 1 Gb 184- DDR400.
-AGP AMD GIGABYTE 4650 RADEON
-GIGABYTE AMD 754 MOTHERBOARD

IT has been working great and i was able to increase the voltage easily.

If you want a boost to your AMD 754 SYSTEM IT WILL WORKS GREAT.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in ABIT KR-7A-RAID!

Pros: Backward compatible in the 133MHz ABIT KR-7A-RAID motherboard (MoBo)! In my case, WITHOUT any memory core voltage adjustments as suggested by manufacturer. I know, I know, some of you are asking why anyone would want to upgrade an older 2002-2003 vintage motherboard... because it's a better MoBo than I can purchase presently. ABIT no longer sells MoBOs and some of the stuff on the market now is junk- at least compared to the earlier MoBos! Does doubling the memory to 1 GB make a perceivable difference? YES! Page loading and YouTube videos are loaded faster without as much "pausing" as before.

Cons: I Cannot get this to work with 2 x 1GB sticks of high-end Corsair XMS memory. Probably due to the different timings. I will keep working on this problem, since it is too late to return this 1 GB memory to Newegg. It would be nice if this were ECC memory for the same price, but that's pushing things a bit. The strongly suggested increase of core memory voltage to 2.6-2.75 v. might be a problem for some users. Check your BIOS settings to see if it can be done BEFORE you purchase this great memory.

Other Thoughts: Back when I built this ABIT-equipped motherboard (computer), ECC memory was more plentiful and certainly relatively cheaper than it is now. I say RELATIVELY CHEAPER, because all memory was MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE back in 2002-2003. It disgust me to see /hear people complaining and whining about how "expensive" their memory sticks are! If only they were around when it WAS expensive! I am happy that I was able to upgrade my 9-year-old MoBo for such a reasonable price, and keep the older computer very functional.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat for 3 days

Pros: Great Value

Cons: Stopped working after 3 days

Other Thoughts: waiting for response to my email.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you are having issues. This kit is 2.75V, not the standard 2.50V, so please make sure to increase DRAM Voltage in BIOS. If not, the memory may not operate properly. When installing performance memory, always match the settings in BIOS with what is shown on the memory. With the proper settings, you should have no problems. If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsG-Skill DDR400 RAM

Pros: Excellent compatibility for older systems, affordable upgrade.

Cons: Ever so slightly different from the first pair I bought (several years ago.

Other Thoughts: One of the final upgrades to my socket 939 system.
Wanted to bump up to 4GB of RAM for running 64-bit Linux.
They popped right into the slots and the system recognized them right away.
Have NEVER had a problem with compatibility or performance when using G-Skill.
Even my new socket AM3 system is using G-Skill RAM!

5 out of 5 eggsBest DDR 400 Memory You Can Buy!!

Pros: This memory just plain works. I had some sticks of Crucial DDR 400 that were really flaky, especially when set to 200 speed in the BIOS. I swapped them for these G.Skill sticks and set the speed at 200, and away we went - never looked back. No crashes, no BSOD, nothing but stable memory - all the time. Buy them you'll love them.

Cons: None - It just darn good memory

Other Thoughts: None
