I've used it for not only gamming but to run multiple companies I've owned. Running Photoshop, QuickBooks, games and normal use. I bought these in 2007 so they have had 7 years of beating on them and just now gave out. Cons: none I know of. Cons: When it died - their warranty policy isn't up to industry standard - their warranty policy isn't up to industry standard - they will not replace any parts they deem are damaged. Most other companies that manufacture RAM have better warranties than G.Skill. Their customer service is also not up to par in the multiple discussions I've had with them. They would rather lose a customer than fix a broken product. Manufacturer Response: . Dear Customer Glad to hear the memory was working fine in your system. If a module fails and no longer works to specification, don't worry, we can have it replaced right away. As long as the RAM is not physically damaged and the warranty sticker remains intact, all G.Skill memory modules are backed by a manufacturer lifetime warranty. No questions asked. This is a simple and straight forward policy that is much better than indsutry standard. In any industry, manufacturer warranty does not cover physical damage. You may have warranty confused with insurance. An insurance policy covers any lost, stolen, damaged, or broken item; whereas a warranty policy covers manufacturing defects that occur while the item is not physically tampered at all. The G.Skill RMA process is quick and hassle free, so if the RAM is not working to specification, and it is not bent or have any damaged pins, we an have it replaced right away. While 2GB was sufficient back in 2009 for my needs, that is no longer the case today in 2014. Cons: 2GB of RAM was sufficient back in 2009 when I originally built my computer but is no longer the case here and now in 2014.
