Pros: Nice price for 8GB, included heat spreader. Newegg always ROCKS! Cool case sticker! Ok, nuff of that. Good RAM, maybe not the fastest, but it works well. 4-4-4-12 and is stable on my MB.

Cons: Took some finesse to OC to 1GHz but thats mostly the MB not necessarily the RAM!

Other Thoughts: ABIT IN9 32 MAX. E6850, XFX8800GTS.

Pros: Cheap, stable option for getting 8GB in your machine.

Cons: Not as fast as some other options out there due to high latency.

Other Thoughts: Chose this as I favored stability over potentially higher speeds since on a system with 8gb a slightly lower latency is not going to make a huge difference anyway.

Using it with Vista Ultimate x64 and absolutely no problems so far.

Get it while it's good

Pros: Good cas latency, good tweakability, heat spreaders to dissipate extra heat, a company that communicates well if their product encounters any adverse issues.

Cons: The company itself is very reputable on response of RMA and has helped me with a different brand of their memory in the past, the price is now what gets me, it was it has shot up drastically, but as we all know this is supply and demand.

Other Thoughts: The product is still worth having even at the price given. I have had no performance issues unless it is with incompatible boards that can't run up to 800Mhz ddr2. It was a definite get when it was under a hundred bucks, and now it is still a get (get it while it's hot). You will not be upset with your purchase of this believe me. I am still running it and it works fine.

Pros: 8GB at 800MHZ

Cons: was hard to install

Other Thoughts: This was installed on a HP media center PC with Windows 7 64-bit. Was hard to install cause of the case but thats not really a con. Recognized all 8GB with no problems. Highly recommend

Basic RAM, but very reliable

Pros: Good price.
Average specs without trying to push extremes.
Complete reliability in a server environment.

Cons: None to speak of really, aside from there being no comparably priced ECC option for this speed and capacity.

Other Thoughts: This was the truly budget part of a fileserver I had built in February. The motherboard supported ECC memory, which would have offered good peace of mind, however the price requirements for that was daunting, as well as a lack of availability on Newegg for such in the first place. I purchased this particular brand partly from a cost standpoint, and partly from recommendation of a former co-worker who had been having good experience with G.Skill memory in a gaming system. I had installed these on a dual-core Xeon 3GHz fileserver running an eight disk RAID6. Thus far there has not been a single issue to report and I suspect I have no real need to upgrade to more expensive ECC memory. I would have to say this has been an excellent return on investment.
