5 out of 5 eggsGood, reliable, trustworthy RAM <period>

Pros: G.SKILL is probably my favorite RAM mfg to this point. I've had my share of problems with other MFG's, and while some of the others have good warranty service, I have never needed to use the warranty service of G.SKILL.

Cons: ... no idea if their warranty service is as good as the other MFG's because I have not yet had a need to use it... Is that a con? Not sure...

5 out of 5 eggsSo Durable!

Pros: As stated in another user's review, these have an extremely strong physical build. The heatsink is definitely here to stay with these babies, and has a great design for allowing maximum airflow to keep your sticks cool, regardless of where your airflow in your computer is directed. I currently just have 4 gigs of ram in my computer, but after having these, I plan on buying another set!

Cons: So far so good! None to report.

Other Thoughts: The heatsinks do raise about an inch to an inch and a half above the top of the actual ram sticks, which could possibly cause some clutter problems for some people, but in my computer, at least, that was still shorter than the heatsink on my processor right next to them.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat one expects

Pros: For the price, these come as a very welcome upgrade for which my computer kept nagging me with warnings ad nausea. I can well imagine that with a little tweaking these would return some of that cost, but I have little need for that at this point.

When I received these sticks, I was struck by the high quality in the durable design of the heatsinks (should they ever be needed), which didn't come across in the photos on Newegg nor G.Skill's site. The installation was very simple with a gentle push on each side of the stick permitting the gleeful one-two snap of the slots.

I decided to run a memory diagnostic on the sticks before giving the system an all-go. To my astonishment, the RAM test took place in half the time from previously and all 6144MB were detected (as should be expected on a 64bit OS). Now I can be sure that a hefty bottleneck was in the 2x512MB Qimoda sticks these G.Skills have now replaced.

Do I smell the epic odor of win radiating from these sticks? Yes.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: OS: Vista (64bit) Home Premium (16GB max detectable); Mobo: Asus IPIBL-TX (8GB max detectable). (I have an additional 3GB that came with my system produced by Samsung and Qimoda.)

I will be a G.Skill customer for a long time to come; they have my thanks for such solid workmanship and that at a decent price.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME ram.

Pros: I can't believe these modules are so low-priced now!
I've got these running in the notoriously finicky Asus P5k Deluxe motherboard, and they're working great. Running them @ 1010mhz at stock timings at 1.95v... Other than the 0.05v voltage bump, topping 1000mhz was effortless. These replaced a pair of G.Skill 1gb modules which had the standard heatspreaders - these ones run significantly cooler - according to the finger test, anyway.

Cons: If I could think of one, I'd list it here.

Other Thoughts: Just a couple - remember that if your system starts bluescreening right after you swap out your ram, you probably got a bad stick. That'll happen once in a while no matter how good the ram is. I've never received a bad module from G.Skill, but if it does happen, don't beat around the bush, just RMA it.

Obviously you also need a 64bit version of Windows (or whatever OS you use) in order for it to see all 4gb of this. Normal versions of Windows will only see between 3.2 and 3.5gb of memory, no matter how much of it you physically have in the system. I'm sure ram prices would drop even further if there weren't so many people returning 4gb kits because they still don't know that.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The price is perfect. The heatsinks seem to work well and they look cool too. 2 gigs worth works very well (see cons).

Cons: It seems to be a recurring problem with G.Skill memory that when you install 2 sticks you get the blue screen of death. When you only use 1 stick your fine. And that would be fine if you didn't pay for 2 sticks.

Not sure how im going to fix this one- probably a long phone call with tech-support... nothing some elbow grease can't fix :)

Other Thoughts: Overall, i think G.Skill is still working out some of the kinks that go along with being a newer company. I wouldn't let this one instance turn me away from G.Skill. The memory works, its just got some issues.

4 out of 5 eggsso far so great!

Pros: Great price for 2x2GB of RAM. Really cool looking heat synchs. Plug and play, running all our games great!

Cons: showing at 3.25 in my bf's system and 3.5 in mine

Other Thoughts: haven't really messed with it much yet. Will try overclocking and system tweaking to try and find where the excess memory is going...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: this memory works great with the rest of my system got 8 gb of it in mn2-sli deluxe, asus 8600gt silent x 2, amd 64x2 6000 windsor cpu, i built a new system only reused a excelstor 160 hard drive seems to do well with vista 64-bit home premium system.

Cons: windows vista 64-bit a lot of time and head achs took less time to build pc than to whip the vista blue screen of death, but i finally emerged victorious all is well

Other Thoughts: i got every thing i needed from new egg and did not have to go shopping, system fired right up with out any problems now if vista 64-bit was as well supported it would be a better world
