1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Usually works plug and play,

Cons: When it arrived I tried both sticks, then 1, then my original. Even increase voltage, even though stock is 1.5 for my board.

I plan on returning them to newegg. Hopefully I can get a decent replacement since these are out of stock.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you had issues. If both modules had the same problem individually, it may be a compatibility issue rather than defective modules. Exchange for a 10666 model to see if that works better. Generally, the 10666 models are compatible with a wider range of motherboards. For compatibility inquiry, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly. We will make sure G.Skill RAM is working fast and stable in your computer.

Thank you

2 out of 5 eggsUpdate 2 weeks later

Pros: See my review below, it worked great initially

Cons: One of sticks has failed, causes BSOD hardware errors.
corrupted active files and caused corruption of the registry.

Happened twice every 3 or 4 hours. then began to lock up after a few minutes of desktop access then failure while loading the OS (windows xp) removal of the ram stick has prevented locking up. 3 stars docked for lasting less that 3 weeks.

I've got some patriot sector 5 for 6 years without issue... i would have expected failure from the older sticks. Not these New ones... disappointing

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear a module has failed. Unfortunately, due to the nature of DRAM, random defects can happen. It can be one day or one decade, but don't worry, all G.Skill memory sticks are backed by a lifetime warranty. Please send it in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work flawlessly. If you are within 30 days of purchase, contact NewEgg directly and they can set you up with an RMA right away. Beyond 30 days, visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. For any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsPlug and Play

Pros: Plugged in, detected, works at specified Speed

Cons: Heatsinks seem small

Other Thoughts: Bought this to bring system memory up to 8GB for and old build, seems to be working ok with some (moderate) gaming so far.

Planetside 2, DDO: Online

Also: Used as a RAMDISK and have had no errors or crashes in total time of ownership so far.

4 out of 5 eggsgood enough

Pros: stable, no bad sticks. not much more to say it's ram

Cons: it's a terrible overclocker cant even get to 1600MHz on any timings

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory is working stable in your computer. This is a popular memory kit as it provides easy plug and play performance. To overclock, you may need to boost DRAM Voltage to achieve DDR3-1600. If you would like assistance with that, please feel free to contact us directly, or visit the Official G.Skill forum.

1 out of 5 eggsone bad stick

Pros: None so far. One stick bad won't even boot with it in computer

Cons: This is my 5th set of Gskill ram. 1 in 5 odds are still kinda high. The problem is that a inexpensive set of ram starts to get expensive when you have to spend $10 to ship it back. The only drawback when ordering online.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear a module is defective. Please send it in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work better. Unfortunately, due to the nature of DRAM, random defects can happen.
