3 out of 5 eggsMeh...

Pros: These DIMMS run blisteringly fast if set up properly. See other thoughts for more details.

Cons: These DIMMS were detected as 1333mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v
At first I thought it was the motherboard, but I found other customers having the same issue.

These DIMMS would not clock to 1800mhz 8-8-8-21 and post with 1.9v like it says it will in the specifications list. Even after bumping the speeds down to 1600mhz, keeping the latencies at 8-8-8-21, and upping the volts to 2.0 it still would not post.

I emailed G.Skill about this issue, informing them that I found a temporary workaround ( see other thoughts ), and they simply implied that my workaround is better than having the sticks run at "stock" values. If it was not for their poor support, lack of effort to even suggest a way to remedy the issue, or even a simple apology for the inconvenience, I would have given this product 4 eggs.

Other Thoughts: After playing with the settings, I ultimately got the sticks to run at 1333mhz 5-5-5-14 1.9v. Simply put, those are amazing latencies for 1333mhz that not even Newegg's best 1333mhz DDR3 DIMMS could compete with at stock volts. While 1333mhz 5-5-5-14 IS faster than 1800mhz 8-8-8-21, I feel let down that these DIMMS would not run as implied by their specifications and even more disappointed by G.Skill's lack of customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with EVGA 790i Ultra

Pros: Very good price compared to competition. 1800MHz is freakin powerful and the timings aren't too shabby either. It works very well with my EVGA 790i Ultra motherboard and Intel Q9450 cpu

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: When you boot up for the first time, your BIOS defaults at 1333MHz and and 9-9-9-24 timings. You need to manually change this in the BIOS to get the most out of this RAM. Change the voltage to 1.9v
Change the timings to 8-8-8-21
Change the speed to whatever works best as a ratio with your cpu. I have a q9450 so I sync my cpu with my ram at either 1600MHz (3.2GHz) or 1800MHz (3.6GHz) depending on what sort of power I need.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Fast RAM, stays cool, the heat spreaders make a difference. Decent timing for ddr3. I have never had a problem with GSkill. Use their RAM in my laptop, gaming comp, and workstation. Newegg had good fast shipping once again. I believe it uses Micron chip... which is by far the best chips for RAM... I will never buy value RAM anymore for the reason that they don't use micron chips. RAM performs very well. I have 4GB in right now.

Cons: I haven't found any yet... RAM hasn't had any problems yet

Other Thoughts: qx9650 Intel 3.0, 4GB GSkill, Nvidia 8600GT (until my GTX 280 comes), 2TB+ HD
