Could be better.
- Pros: Works great, no problems, not doa, both sticks work.
- Cons: No heatspreader. Price.
- Other Thoughts: For this price, upgrade to DDR3 if you're building a new comp like I did.

Works allright
- Pros: The second set I got works as advertised (see cons). Memtest86+ seems to run without issues on it -- haven't seen any weak bits yet using SPD eeprom settings (default for the DIMMs) and machine appears to be stable, haven't seen any weird panics or segfaults (BSODs or protection errors for those windows users).
- Cons: I got one bad module the first time around that caused my motherboard to power cycle, as it was a hard failure (worse than just a bad bit somewhere, it caused the whole system to be unusable if it was plugged in.). Newegg replaced it promptly. Not that this should influence purchases, but I had to mention as this scared the heck out of me in trying to figure out why my new m/b (old cpu, C2Q Q6600) and this new RAM didn't work despite years of experience assembling machines.
- Other Thoughts: Sometimes it's hard to figure out what's wrong when you get too many new parts... but luckily there are two in this pack so I could test them individually. The failure on the first set I got I'd say it should be fairly rare as it should be spotted by memory testers right away, but nevertheless I got a dud...
