5 out of 5 eggsSo Good, Had to Get Another!!

Pros: GSkill Quality. Performs as good or better than higher priced brands. This isn't "budget" RAM, even if the price is lower.

Well packaged.

GSkill Lifetime Warranty & Dedication to Customer Service.

Cons: My PC didn't ship with it pre-installed.

GSkill doesn't manufacture SSD's.

They're no longer $30 per set as in 2011.

These aren't really cons, but all would be great to have.

Other Thoughts: GSkill, as I stated above, has outstanding, high quality RAM, and has been my "go to" source for RAM since 2011 (an 8GB set for $30 was the kickoff), this makes my 4th set purchased. Not one bad stick have I had, no problems, and if there were, I have no doubt that GSkill will make things right.

My personal opinion, GSkill is an underappreciated brand, many times overshadowed by bigger names. However, no doubt, the GSkill name is now growing and more customers knows of the company than when I first discovered the brand in 2011. The price may be lower than others, but the quality is every bit as good as any other RAM manufacturer. They skimp on nothing, even the packaging. In fact, I've seen other brands packaged sloppier & with the potential for damage in transit.

GSkill is the only brand I recommend today, I once had a prior favorite, but the folks there let me down. I don't believe the ones at GSkill will do the same. Anytime I see a negative review, the GSkill staff seems to be rushing to be the first to post an answer, and those are the things I like to see. A company who cares about customer service.

That's a trait that few companies has today. I'm happy to have GSkill as an upgrade partner for my RAM needs.

And as always, one of my eggs are for the folks at Newegg, whom continues to have the best selection for every need, regardless of budget. The Newegg Family works as hard as any distributor to keep their customers happy. Sometimes, we may not like the shipping, but hey, there's options to get it to us fast when in dire need. Few companies offers Free Ship anymore, and most that does, has a catch.

Newegg is my #1 trusted source for PC components.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect DDR2

Pros: reliable, takes overclock without any problems, good speeds

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have this kit since 2011 and it's still working like day one!!! This was installed on an ITX system that I now use as a media center plugged on my TV. Well worth the spending if you want RAM that is gonna last decades!

5 out of 5 eggsWham, Bam, Thank You RAM

Pros: Good value for the price. actually a bit faster than the 4GB I already have installed. I normally buy Crucial or Corsair but based on reviews, I thought I'd try this for the same price. It is lower latency than most of the double sticks sold by the others. Molded Plastic wrapper made me a bit leary, no anti-static wrapper, but it worked fine

Cons: Packing, stupid plastic, hard to cut, impossible to tear, let memory sticks slide around a bit. Shame on them for not using a sleeve or something.

5 out of 5 eggsinstall & go

Pros: Reliably and compatible

Cons: Never had a problem

Other Thoughts: After years of building computers for other people and having top of the line, high rated memory fail I stopped screwing around with reviews and sales... it's G-skill first and Kingston other memory will reach my machines.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: Plug and Play Dual Channel Memory Upgrade, Great Quality Control, Lower Cas Latency, Great kit for the home or company computer to increase multitasking ability.

Cons: It doesn't cook for you... There is no cons with G.Skill Memory. You get quality ram every time.

Other Thoughts: I have switched brand loyalties to G.Skill exclusively about 2 years ago after having had over 10 kits from corsair all have some problem or another. I build computers and fix my family and friends computers as a hobby and in the past 2 years I have ordered in upwards of 10 dual channel kits from G.Skill and all of them have been plug and play kits that set themselves up. Have yet to receive a bad stick from them as their company has extremely high quality control. If you are looking to upgrade your computer trust G.Skill to get the job done the first time. This kit was used to upgrade a Dell OptiPlex 360 Slim Desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Inspiron 530

Pros: I put this in a Dell Inspiron 530 to increase from 2GB to 6GB. Works fine, recognized with no problems. Never had any problems with GSKILL memory, I have some running FAR above specs in an old Opteron system for most of a decade now.

Cons: None here

Other Thoughts: Make sure to get newest bios version from Dell site as it increases max from 4gb to 8gb.
