Cons: I have RMA's a set already as these 1st didn't work in the new macbooks... why i have no idea. got a replacement and still no go! 3rd times a charm, hopefully.
Other Thoughts: This Ram as of Jan 09 is not workin in macbooks.
we believe there are some compatible issue with macbook. we are working with Apple and try to find the best IC for APPLE.

Pros: Works in latest macbook. Cheapest way to boost to 4GB.
Cons: I mean, it's RAM. It works, I don't think there are any cons that a sane person would want to point out.
Other Thoughts: Ordered two sticks. First stick was bad. If you're putting this in a new Macbook you'll see a system freeze somewhere between 30s-2min if you've got bad RAM.
Newegg's RMA procedure is pretty painless though.

Pros: Low cost.
Cons: May not be entirely compatible with the new Apple Macbook / Macbook Pro. I installed 2 of these DIMMs to bring my MBP up to 4GB and was pretty pleased early on. Later, when copying large files and using Time Machine or when enabling encryption, the machine would lock up on me. I switched back to the original DIMMs that came with the MBP and the problems went away. I am going to try the Crucial DIMMs and see if they work better.
sorry about this problem. we will test files copy and encryption process too. normally we only use memory testing program to verify it is good. plus this model is not the model for apple, we are not sure is compatible issue with apply or not. but we will test it on Apple laptop ASAP
