5 out of 5 eggsLifetime Warranty

Pros: One of the two 2g memory chips was defective upon purchase in 2009. However, I failed to return them for warranty replacement until recently. I used the GSKILL website to apply for an RMA. There are a set of shipping instructions that must be strictly followed to facilitate a flawless exchange. To this end, I used a shareware product called Memtest86 to ascertain the requisite proof of defect. By testing each memory chip independently (remove all but one from the motherboard), I was able to isolate the chip that was defective. As I had purchased the chip in a set, I returned the pair in their original packaging. I obtained proof of purchase from via the Newegg "My Account" feature which stores a record of all purchases. The only downside to the entire warranty procedure was the USPS shipping costs and padded envelope. The GSKILL RMA department was extremely courteous and prompt in its replies. There was a 5 day turn around time from the day of shipment.

Cons: None; performance of replacement memory is rock solid. I am using it in an overclocked configuration.

Other Thoughts: Do your homework. Buy the memory that best optimizes the performance of your particular system (Overclockers should pay special attention to timing specs). Keep original packaging for potential returns.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks good
Easy to install
Noticeable performance increase
Arrived on time
Easy open packaging

Cons: None yet, other than having to wrestle my wiring bundle out of the way to access the RAM slots.

Other Thoughts: Picked this up to augment the 8GB of RAM my PC came with originally. Arrived on time, was very easy to get into, and once I got my wiring harness out of the way, while making sure not to knock into my graphics card, it was easy. Just line up the slots press until you hear a click, lock them in place, and you're done. The only majorly RAM-intensive thing I could try last night, was Secondlife, and even in sims that normally would bog me down for a good 5 minutes while they were loading, it was just ready for me. Granted, only so much of that can be attributed to RAM. But nevertheless, I was tired after work, so I didn't really push it much. My next day off, however, will see a more rigorous use of this product.

Also, Newegg had (Another company) beat this time. I bought these sticks through Newegg for $47.99 with $5.99 shipping, and (Another company because evidently a type of female warrior is a swear word on here) has these exact same sticks on sale for $74.99....ouch.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on arrival

Pros: Looks awesome

Cons: Dead on arrival

Other Thoughts: Amidst real life, I missed the 30 day window to return these. Product never worked, so now I'm stuck with $50 worth of dead memory.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Glad to hear you think the memory looks awesome. With G.Skill RAM, you are never stuck with a product you can not use. All G.Skill memory kits are backed by a lifetime warranty, so at any time you think there is a problem with your RAM, we can have it replaced immediately. The G.Skill RMA process is quick and hassle free, so your computer will be up and running in no time.

It is very unlikely both modules are defective upon arrival, so please contact the G.Skill support team prior to RMA. The RAM may be incompatible with your system, and if that's the case, we can send you a different product that will work flawlessly. This is part of the G.Skill guarantee. Once you purchase G.Skill, you won't need to look elsewhere.

Thank you

Quality and customer service are our top priorities.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Stable

Pros: Easy to install, inexpensive, reliable, fast, compatible. Even now a couple of years later it's still good memory. I haven't even tried overclocking it. G.SKILL has become my favorite. I won't even look at other brands.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought these a couple of years ago when I upgraded my computer. I don't play many games, but the one I do have is Trainz 2012 simulator and I wanted equipment that could handle the rendering and data manipulation load. I recently purchased an organ simulation program called Hauptwerk by Milan Audio. The program can really throw data (audio) around, especially with a decent size organ with a lot of ranks of pipes. In some cases more than a 100 at once.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic RAM

Pros: This 1333 MHz ram works perfectly with the Pentium G3220 CPU since it only has a 1333MHz RAM controller. For pretty much any other chip, I'd use faster RAM but the ultra low timings on this set keep it mega fast. Just DO NOT forget to turn on XMP on your motherboard or it will run at the slower default speed!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Considering the price difference between this and standard CL9 RAM, I don't think anyone should ever buy any other set.

Keep in mind that the Windows 7 rating system usually gives this ram a 5.9 because a chunk of it is reserves for the graphics on Intel chips. Anything far below 4GB gets capped at 5.9. If you put in 2 sets of this RAM, you get around a 7.6 rating depending on your processor and board. That's the true speed of this RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsG.Skill Ripjaws 1333

Pros: Reliable, Over clockable, Stays Cool, Nice heat sinks but not to tall to interfere with cpu coolers, I run this on a asus crosshair rog mobo set on the 1600mhz preset from day one mobo automatically set timings to @ 1.5v runs flawlessly.

Cons: None, I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.

5 out of 5 eggsRAM makes the world spin

Pros: I bought this set to match what I had installed in my wife's machine. Same specs, same type and it worked perfectly!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: While my wife was pursuing her Master's Degree, she brought her PC to its knees. I had installed 4GB thinking that was enough for her, but adding this additional 4GB of matching memory was exactly what she needed.

No longer would the massive amount of PDF's, IE, Word and PowerPoint windows bring her machine to a crawl.
