1 out of 5 eggsDOA Memory, Poor Customer Service

Pros: Overclocks like it says it should.

Cons: One stick was failing right out of the box, detects fine, clocks up fine, has strange memory errors that cause repeated crashing, even at 1333 or 1866. Running on just the other stick works, even at OC speeds. Contacted G.SKILL Customer Service to RMA on Monday Wednesday evening: still no response. Lifetime Warranty means nothing when you can't get the product serviced.

Other Thoughts: I would be happy if the company was more responsive with the RMA process. As it stands, I'll just return this for something made by a different company.

5 out of 5 eggsGOOD

Pros: - DDR3
- 4GB
- 2000mhz PC316000
- It went to 2009mhz with X.M.P profile from bios first try
- Very awesome performance these things could probably shoot laser beams it shoots my programs up so fast when I startup on windows 7 64 bit pro even on its default settings with windows 7 1333mhz it is a beast pack!
- I'm not sure how warm they were at 2009mhz I had it running at that for about 3-4 hours stable no problem reverted back to 1333mhz because I didn't want them to get to hot I run my computer for long term so its just personal preference but it does go to 2000mhz no lie there =]! if your looking for fast memory this is the deal right here buy it. It looks awesome performs awesome the name sounds awesome RIPJAWS > any other come on ... patriot ram kingston ram? ...... RIPJAWS! thats all I got to say

Cons: - I don't feel safe with them at 2009mhz haha feels like they get to hot although I did not CHECK with a heatgun sensor or anything I just don't want to blow it up but it DOES go that high there was no problem with it changing to it too switched in it bios like snip snap and it did it.

Other Thoughts: RIPJAWS > any other ram you know it!

5 out of 5 eggsPaired with Phenom II X6 1090T

Pros: I am glad they adjusted the marketing details because these certainly run well on an AMD (Asus Crosshair IV Formula 890FX based) motherboard with only the normal BIOS tweaks that all faster DDR3 requires. For the price this RAM is simply GREEAAT, as a famous tiger was once heard saying. NOT a Fanboi...but now definitely a fan ! Why buy a 4 x 2GB kit when you can get the same for less money with two of these.
Very Happy with my choice and purchase !!

Cons: A con ? OK maybe the latencys' could be lower..but lets be real...for the price, it rocks. And can you really run DDR3-2000 at much lower latencys and be stable ? Not sure you can do much better at DDR3-2000, and if you can how much more will it cost up front ?

Other Thoughts: I would like to see the makers include a sheet with ALL the DRAM timing settings listed, rather than just using AUTO in my BIOS.
RAM reliability is also a victim of motherboard stability, so don't always be in a rush to blame the RAM; it could easily be your motherboard or PSU flakin out.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus Overclocking's a breeze

Pros: Installed with 2 different Asus P55 boards (P7P55D and the Maximus III Extreme), both boards overclocked easily to DDR3 2000 with no issues.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: You must manually set the DDR3 2000 memory speed in the BIOS settings. By default the Asus will configure these to 1333.

4 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: Very fast and easily to overclock. ASUS P7P55D EVO recognized it when I set it to X.M.P. profile. I currently have 4 dimms operating at full speed with no issues.

Cons: One of my modules was faulty and would get bit errors intermittently (ran memtest 86+ to verify - test 5).

Other Thoughts: G.SKILL's customer support is great. I setup an RMA through email, shipped the bad kit back, and had my replacement within a week. Definitely my top pick for my next build.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM - good buy

Pros: this RAM is great. my computer is running amazing (with an AMD 965 black box 3.4) I've never had any major problems with this RAM at all.

Cons: I said i never had any MAJOR problems, and i didn't. however, i did have to tweak the run speeds in BIOS before it would run at 2000 - it defaulted at 1333 (i think) but other than that no cons at all

Other Thoughts: the ONLY reason this doesn't have 5 eggs is that it wouldn't run at 2000 right away (yes harsh to take an egg for that but 5 eggs means something is PERFECT, and it was ALMOST perfect)

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. The maximum default standard for ALL DDR3 motherboards is DDR3-1333 (667MHz), so any memory above that will need to be manually set in BIOS or an XMP/EPP Profile must be enabled. If simply left to AUTO, the system will only be able to detect memory at DDR3-1333 (667MHz). Glad to hear you were able to get the memory package running properly. If you have any questions or issues in the future, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you
