2 out of 5 eggsSecond Stick Failed.

Pros: Adequate performance for a 1066 clock. Runs good for entry level builds.

Cons: Failed after first month. Quality is not the best and is sometimes unstable when mixed with other memory speeds.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these, one in June 2015 and then again in Dec 2015. The one from December failed after the first month. And the older one still runs but shows signs of lag/instability when mixed with 1333Mhz+ ram. They seem to be better off running alone.

Glad to hear the memory was working well in your builds. This is a perfect plug and play memory kit for most DDR3 computers. It is not advised to mix match with other RAM. Using different chips and specifications of memory can cause instability when all used in the same system. The general rule of thumb is to use one type of RAM in each computer for optimal performance. If you need 8GB, consider the G.Skill F3-8500CL7D-8GBRL. 2 out of 5 eggs2 out of three DOA

Pros: one of the three actually worked

Cons: two of the three were dead on arrival. I have had nothing but trouble trying to get a second functioning memory card. I originally started trying to get a second card over a month and a half ago. I thought that perhaps the US postal system had damaged it somehow and decided to pay extra for three day shipping only to get another defective card. Did I just get the same card I returned sent back to me?

5 out of 5 eggsRipjaws Series 4GB RAM

Pros: It is super easy to install and since I previously had this product when I was first building my PC, I have had no problems. Now I have 8GB of RAM and I can feel the difference when running applications. When I upgrade my graphic card and cpu, I will be looking at getting 2 more sticks.

Cons: The only con is that installing might be more complicated depending on the motherboard. It will depend if you have a single-channel, duel-channel, or multi-channel reading but if you are happy with 8GB for your PC, then it should be fine. Otherwise, look for a larger stick.

Other Thoughts: I love this product and it is great if it is compatible with your kind of computer. Just do the research ahead of time before you just buy products to make sure they are right for what you want. This product, was perfect for me.

Pros: This was a Return. I will say, The transaction of the Return AND Refund went smoothly. I just happen to get wrong part, But was worried about Return. It went SMOOTH....and then did get right part QUICKLY. Kudo's to Return Department.

1 out of 5 eggsUPDATE - Quality Control Issues

Pros: Not much - 1 out of 3 sticks worked so far.
UPDATE: I posted earlier about having to RMA this part.
I was more optimistic then.

Bought this to increase RAM in an older system. System currently runs/boots with an identical 4GB stick of G.Skill RAM.

I've used quite a bit of G.Skill with success but, this part has presented serious issues.

GSkill accepted the RMA but, I received another bad part.

Cons: First - know that my skill level is professional. As in: I make my living from computers and networks. I'm not some noob trying to "Hamfist"RAM into a machine etc. Nor someone that doesn't know proper troubleshooting.

Secondly, this is not a pair matching issue - Each stick was tested independently as well as in conjunction with an identical part.

Had to RMA a stick - Cost an extra $10 to ship it back - G.Skill processed the RMA - sent me back another BAD stick. Ram was tested with/against identical known good part. In other words, I tested both bad sticks in a system running with an identical G.Skill Stick of RAM - Tested all configurations including by itself. - So 1 out of 3 Sticks works.

Buyer beware, this may be a bad experience for you. I'm now out more money and time due to an RMA and I still don't have a working part.

After receiving an RMA replacement that is bad, I'm starting to wonder if G.Skill may be aware of the issues and is just recycling Open Box parts to RMA customers.

Looking at the part on my desk and wondering if the effort/cost is worth another RMA!

Other Thoughts: While this RAM is starts off as a cheap upgrade, its cost goes up quickly if you're stuck RMA'ng like I have. I'm out $35 -40 and I've got nothing to show for it.

We will be glad to help with this issue. The latest RAM chip configurations may be different than a previous stick even if they are the same exact model. RAM is produced in batches so the current modules may be slightly different from the past. Specifications such as frequency and timings are identical, but there are other factors that may alter compatibility especially with older platforms. It is very unlikely you received defective modules directly from G.Skill. All RMA replacements are straight out of new inventory. Pros: Good price. Less than 30 bucks during newegg sale.

When it works, it works fine. Also, so far G.SKILL seems to be standing behind their product. (See below)

RAM is a decent color and I like the heatsink.

Cons: Needed some RAM for an older Motherboard. Purchased 2 sticks of this separately. One works one doesn't - tested in known good system. Bad stick causes boot failures.

I've had to start an RMA. I will update this later but, I'm happy G.SKILL has a "Limited Lifetime" warranty. I'll see how things turn out.

Other Thoughts: I've used quite a bit of G.SKILL over the years and this is the first time I've had to RMA a stick.

4 Stars as long as G.SKILL honors RMA.

Now is when G.SKILL will have a chance to earn continued loyalty.

Pros: Fast shipping and good looking than OWC memory?

Cons: Died in 2 days.

Other Thoughts: I believed G.SKILL customer service agent's reply on other reviewer that it is updated and more stable now but it died less than 2days.

Pros: kinda pricey, but ok, if it's not DoA

Cons: bought two. one of the two came DoA. another two weeks of wait for replacement. replacement arrived - another DoA.
what are you doing there at newegg? just sending one returned item to another customer with another returned item and making them cross-check each other, instead of replacing with a good one? or is the quality of the product is so bad, that only one in ten will be not DoA item and you gotta keep sending c*ap out and wait for returns?

Other Thoughts: Now i face tough choice: wait another two weeks for another DoA or just get the money back. Hmm.

Pros: Works

Cons: Failed after less than one year

Other Thoughts: I used two of these in a small ITX Linux box which is my home wifi/wired network router and ZFS NAS. After 9 months of service, one of these failed, rendering the system unable to boot. After removing one of these memory cards, the system does boot again, but will not boot if the other one is present in either slot. It was being worked pretty hard recompiling the Linux kernel at the time of failure.
