Other Thoughts: I follow the memory finder thru the Newegg website, coming to find out the memory was not compatible. after filling an RMA newegg made it right and will continue to do bussiness with such a great company!!

Pros: It works. Ram is kinda like that, either yes or no.

Other Thoughts: Shipped and received quickly, worked out of the box, and 4 years later still all sectors good. What else would you want?

Pros: Product 1 out of 2 dead on arrival. Unfortunately I just tested it today and I ordered it on 3/17/15 and now Newegg says nothing they can do they won't RMA it. Last transaction with Newegg . Apparently the 30 days starts when you order it not when you receive it. I received it on 3/19/15. Sad

Cons: Newegg bad service. I wish i could give 0 eggs. They do not even deserve 1.

Other Thoughts: Terrible they won't stand by product they sell. The 30 days should start when you receive your product not when you order it.

Pros: Great value

Cons: Good reviews weren't quite enough to assume compatibility with older motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I bought this kit along with the GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT LGA 775 Intel G41 + ICH7 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. Due to this being an older board the memory support list was nearly all for 2GB modules. The only 4GB module officially supported was Samsung M378B5273BH1-CF8. This G.SKILL module comes close to specs (CL7, PC3 8500). Since the board was proudly advertised as supporting 8GB, I figured to take a chance, and I lost.

Long story short: these modules have chips on only one side of PCB (high density chips) and therefore not supported by all LGA 775 boards. I'll either be returning these or just upgrading to the 2010s with my CPU & MB.

Pros: Update from previous review: After the problems I had with the initial memory chips, I finally got things straightened out with G.Skill and getting the RMA replacement. Since getting the new chips I have had no problems with this memory. They have been running non-stop, 24 hours a day for the last 2 years with no problems and excellent performance. I would highly recommend these again.

Cons: It's a shame that the initial pair didn't work, a lot of frustration could have been avoided.

Pros: Visually looks good.

Cons: One died the day after I got it, the other died a week after that. I've lost all faith in G-Skill. Pareema may be a cheaper and lower brand, but at least their RAM doesn't die in a week.

Other Thoughts: My company bought a prebuilt machine from one of the usual big name manufacturers. After about a week, they noticed it couldn't do work on two spreadsheets at the same time (onboard video ate up all available memory).

This set of memory fixed that problem and the computer seems to be running a little faster on everything else.

Pros: hey at least one stick was working

Cons: Useless heat spreaders
One stick was doa

Other Thoughts: Probably not going to buy g.skill again

The heat spreaders are designed to disperse heat effectively, but for a low voltage kit like this, temperature generally remains fairly cool.
