5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Has been running smoothly in 2 separate installs on my daughters' school and gaming computers. Easy to install and recognized immediately upon boot with no interference on our part.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Used the entire purchased components to teach my two daughters how to assemble their own systems and get them up and running for schooling and gaming. Both builds went off without a hitch thanks to easy to read included instructions.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful memory

Pros: Beautiful heat spreader, rock solid memory when running at advertised XMP settings

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Despite the picture, the pcb on my stick was black. While this is only an aesthetic change, I'm extremely happy with it and I'm not seeing it mentioned enough in other reviews

1 out of 5 eggsNo Boot

Pros: Bought two sticks. One didn't work. Tried on two different mobos. DOA. Had to return and incurred return ship cost, which sucks!

Cons: One of two purchased did not work.

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you had a problem with one of the memory modules. Send it in for RMA exchange and we can have a new replacement out to you immediately. USPS First Class w/ Tracking is the most cost effective method. In the future, if you plan on using two modules in a dual channel system, it is best to purchase a dual channel memory kit. Each memory kit is pre-matched, tested, and guaranteed to work together at optimal performance. 8GB of DDR3-1600 is perfect for any new build. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat stick

Pros: good heatsink, and of course, Looks pretty....

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: With memory, I guess it either works or doesn't, and this really does. Very fast and runs cool even under high stressful use. Always used Corsair before for its stability and consistency, but so far, this is doing the job just a well.

2 out of 5 eggsBlue Screen

Pros: First one I bought worked like a charm.

Cons: DOA?
blue screening

Purchased a 2nd stick to couple with an existing G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB DDR3 1600. In short, I bought the exact same stick. I plugged it in but it was giving me the Blue Screen of Death after a few minutes of use, so I took it out. I never got a chance to thoroughly enjoy 8gb of ram.

Other Thoughts: I should have bought 1x 8gb from the beginning instead of 2x4s...

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We can help you with this issue. First, make sure the memory is configured properly in BIOS/EFI. This memory kit is above standard, so it is not plug and play. Without the proper settings, the RAM may seem defective. To determine whether a module is not working properly, test one stick at a time to see if it is stable at the rated specifications. It is not guaranteed different types of RAM can work together in the same computer, so if you continue to have problems, please feel free to email us directly and we will be glad to help. The G.Skill support team will make sure the RAM is running fast and stable in your computer.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsHappy

Pros: Works great, well-made, solid RAM. I was especially taken with the physical beauty of this RAM. If you have a side window, get this! I bought one stick since I was on a tight budget; I will buy more for dual channel.

Cons: no issues at all, except it's not free.

Other Thoughts: Try not to fall in love with it when you see it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM Sticks for GREAT Price!

Pros: Super fast and easy to install. The heat sinks are not tall so no issue there. Even comes with case badge :)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Been using G.Skill RipJaws for over 2 years now and never have failed me! (Knock on wood!). For those who are wondering, I do have 2x2GB sticks and 1x4GB stick. All are clocked at 1600MHZ and just remember to check your Memory Slot configuration (First time I misplaced the stick and only have 2GB available, just moved it to the other slot and BOOM 8GB goodness!
