4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good ram, handles fast and does the trick.

Cons: Bios kept clocking RAM at 1300mhz instead of 1600mhz.. I had a little bit of difficulty bringing the DIMMs up to speed. For this I removed 1 egg.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory is working well in your system. This memory is above standard, so manual settings are necessary to reach the rated specifications. Not all CPUs can fully support DDR3-1600, so some may require additional tweaks. Once you input the proper settings in BIOS, the memory should operate fast and stable in your computer. Should you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsFast , Runs Cool , Even Heat Distribution , Cheap Price

Pros: Low Tempatures
Even Heat Distribution
Cheap Price
Fast Speed

Cons: I haven't had any faults yet..

Other Thoughts: Installed in my new ASUS M4A87TD/USB Motherboard using overclocked to 1600 MHz (Athlon II/III only support up to DDR3 1333 MHz RAM) and running COMPLETELY Stable The BEST RAM for the Price in my Opinion

3 out of 5 eggsdisappointed

Pros: it is Gskill, good price, nice specs. runs good when it runs

Cons: well these GBRL moduals have been a disappointment to me. I have ordered 3 of these. 1st one was DOA, ok it happens. 2nd one fixed that and run great. 3rd one run for a few months then failed.

Other Thoughts: My GBNQ sticks are still running strong. but I wanted to go to 4GB sticks. dont get me wrong most of my Gskill ram has been running great and long. but for some reason 2/3s of the GBRL stick I have got have failed within 6 months. come on Gskill I am getting tired of RMA and the cost to RMA is getting to where I am thinking about going back to a manufacture I have never had a problem with even if I have to pay a little more for them to start with, because with the cost of the RMAs I might as well just get a product I dont have to RMA. It cost me time troubleshooting and makes it look like I build faulty product. When I do a build I want it to last at least till it is 2 generations old. I have machines that are over 10 years old and still running strong. I like to have that as my rep. but when I get faulty parts from the manufacture after I said that I have been using parts from you for years without fail. It makes us both look bad. Not to mention it cost me more money to fix the prob.

Dear Customer

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. It is very strange multiple modules have had issues. This memory is DDR3-1600 (above standard), so please make sure to configure settings in BIOS. Without the proper settings, the memory may degrade or corrupt over time. You should have no such issues with the correct settings. For any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact us directly. The support team will make sure the memory is working flawlessly in your computer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: - Price
- Performance
- Appearance

I already had two 2 gig sticks of this exact type of ram and was extremely happy with them as well as all my other G.Skill ram. This four gig stick paired with the other two in Dual channel without a hiccup. Today I ordered another to round out for 12 gigs just because I had the spare cash and it's price is so good.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: My first G.Skill ram was a pair of 1 gig ddr2 sticks. Then right through to now the combination of great price and exceptional quality has never slipped. I don't even look at the entire ram section anymore when I come to new egg. I just filter by G.Skill and call it a day.

5 out of 5 eggsOverclock!!!

Pros: -reliable
-runs cool
- extremely stable DESIGN.
(even if your an idiot who overvolted them to 1.65 like me XD)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Its funny i actually overclocked these bad boys using 1.65 volts, which funny enough is not suggested... considering they should be at stock 1.5 volts. Just goes to show the awsome quality of this ram, where even if you over-volt them for over 2 months in my case, lol. they still held up and work like a charm. now that's quality design!!!! :D

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I've been running 16GB in a build for a year and it has performed flawlessly. This was the first set of G.SKILL Ripjaws memory I've bought, but I have had no second thoughts about my purchase.

Cons: It is less than half the price now than what I paid for it (over
$200), but I'm glad I have it

Other Thoughts: My system is a overclocked (4.1GHZ) AMD 1090 on a Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 with a total of 3TB of HD memory and a Corsair H70 cooler. I use this box for heavyweight number crunching and Image processing, no gaming and it is a true workhorse.
