3 out of 5 eggsGot one bad apple.

Pros: Worked as expected for 4-6 months.

Cons: After 4-6 months started getting regular BSOD from memory management. Ran a Mem Test and one of these sticks has gone bad. Obviously this product is highly regarded on Newegg so my experience may be in the rarer side of things.

Other Thoughts: Trying a different brand with same specs to see if there will be a difference. The motherboard ram slots that I have used work perfectly with the good stick, so I don't suspect a bad mobo yet.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Works at advertised speeds and timings. That alone made it a good buy for the price.

Cons: Doesn't overclock worth a durn. It's a big pile of poop in that regard, but given that it works at the speeds and timings written on the box, I can't take Eggs away.

Other Thoughts: Usually RAM has a little headroom, or often times you can loosen timings to jump to the next RAM divider or gain a hundred Mhz. Not these babies, they're quite set in their ways.

I tried all the usual tactics: sweet talk, some extra voltage, soft petting, nothing would coax even 50 extra Mhz out of these suckers without failing stability tests.

I settled with the default DDR3-1600 and called it a day. Next time I'll do my homework and find some value RAM with decent binned chips that have more potential. I've sometimes gotten lucky with G.Skill RAM and ended up with bargain modules that had good chips like the new low voltage Samsungs that clock real high. Lost this lottery, however; who knows what's under the hood of these but it's nothing fantastic.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a dream!

Pros: Installs easy - well... it's RAM after all

Heat spreaders

Pretty good for gaming

Cons: none that I can think of at this precise moment in time

Other Thoughts: The board recognized the RAM right off and set it correctly to 1600. This 8gb package loads up games quick and I have zero issues with it.

Not really to much else to say... It's just pretty good RAM by G.Skill!
