5 out of 5 eggsMaxed out RAM for friend's system

Pros: Purchased for a friend who wanted to do another small upgrade to his system. System originally came with 9GB of memory (not sure of speeds but I know for sure it wasn't maxed out). Found this kit online and recommended it, and now his system has a little bit more pep alongside the SSD we also installed. Great kit of memory for the price. G.Skill's heatsink designs are eye-catching and well engineered.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Cheap, and Good

Pros: Title says it all... I threw these on a ASUS Sabertooth X58, with Intel Core i7-960 Bloomfield 3.2GHz LGA 1366 and it absolutely screams.

Cons: It wasn't cheaper?

Other Thoughts: I've been a loyal customer of Corsair ram for awhile, and have recently been trying out G.Skill. I'm very impressed the performance and price. This was an awesome deal... no wonder why it's sold out already.

4 out of 5 eggsRuns Great But...

Pros: Posted No problem 1st try. Matched kit runs well together. OverClocked to more than 1800 on stock voltage. System Stable.

Newegg rocks!! Fastest shipping to APO military (4-6 days!!!)

Cons: spreader sticker, Packaging, and My bios all give the correct model number, however it is listed in CPUID and BIOS as being 1333mhz maximum. That being said, I did manage to overclock it to 1840mhz.
But there is a big difference in wear and tear between a 37% Overclock and a 14% overclock...

Other Thoughts: Over all so far I am very happy with how the ram performs. I knocked an egg off for what appears to be mis-labeling or mis-rating the ram. I have decided not to RMA because it is performing so well and see how it goes. I may lower the Ram ratio/multiplyer and try for tighter timings and reduced heat. Right now 6 sticks are running hot.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory kit is working well on your system. Regarding the CPU-z "Max Bandwidth", that is showing the maximum default (AUTO) of your motherboard, not the memory. For any DDR3 motherboard, if you install memory above DDR3-1600, it will still default to DDR3-1333 CL9 unless you configure memory in BIOS. This value does not change, even DDR3-2500 will show max bandwidth as PC3-10700 (667MHz). The memory is obviously not DDR3-1333, otherwise it would require very high voltages to support DDR3-1800. If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

Quality and customer service are our top priorities.
