5 out of 5 eggsAmazing RAM

Pros: -Massive heat sinks keep temps low!!
-Fast 800mhz ram with low timings (see other comments)

Cons: -These Sticks Are Tall!!
-Not really a con but if you get this RAM 4 gigs is not enough to play games like BF3. I was constantly at 95%+ RAM usage until I bought some more.

Other Thoughts: I have 4 sticks (8gig) of these. Timings have some flexibility, currently running 6-8-6-20-26 1T with 1.625v(stock 1.6v). Passes mem test86 at these settings (although these settings may not work for you) and scores 7.8 in windows.

I haven't really messed with OC'n the frequency of this RAM but I imagine there wouldn't be much headroom unless you raise the timings.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat more could you want?

Pros: Those heatsinks! This ram is awesome, has tight timings, excellent speed and quality. Not to mention, some motherboards can be picky about what ram they like, but g.skill always works on any board. Truly excellent ram for gamers, enthusiasts, and overclockers

Cons: now, its a little expensive for only 4gb, but the best 4gb kit you can get for the price!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Ram!

Pros: Very fast
Really responsive
Excellent price
Tightest timings for 2GB sticks
AMD compatible tested and Prime95'd (For my system)

Cons: Nothing, Gave me absolutely no trouble.

Other Thoughts: On Gskill forum it explains how to get this "intel" memory working on amd boards. (at ur own risk) I wanted this stuff cause timings are so tight. I bought 2 of these kits so total of 8GB.

Here is what you have to do, this worked for me but may not for you. Check out my system at the bottom.

Also Just go and buy it already, its great stuff. Bang vs buck you cant beat it.

CPU-NB Frequency to 2400MHz
Set Ram timings to 6-8-6-24 T2
Ram voltage to 1.65v
Set CPU-NB voltage to 1.2v

4 out of 5 eggsFAST! Really Good!

Pros: CL 6-8-6-24
SPD 1600
STABLE

Cons: I don't know why but I keep getting 7.5 rating on my WEI.
I used these before, Ripjaws 1066 7-7-7-18 8GB and also got 7.5. Another one was Ripjaws X 1333 7-7-7-21 8GB gave me 7.5 aswell. Is there something wrong? or is it just my mobo?

Other Thoughts: Here's my specs:
CPU - AMD Phenom ii x6 1090t 3.2ghz
GPU - ATI Radeon 5850 HD 1GB
MOBO - ASUS M4A87TD EVO
RAM - G Skill 1600 CL6 8GB
PSU - hec Zephyr MX 750 750W
HDD - 3TB Western Digital Green Caviar

WEI Rating:
7.5
7.5
7.7
7.7
5.9 (SSD are expensive for me, more capacity is better)

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. In order to maximize your WEI, you may need 8GB. In addition, make sure you CPU-NB Frequency is 2400MHz. There are many factors involved, so hopefully we can improve it. If none of the above helps, please feel free to contact us directly and we can see what else may increase the rating.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the Price

Pros: I have had this product right at 6 months now, and I have had no trouble at all out of these, I have Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit with an AMD Phenom X6 1090T Processor installed, 4GB Memory and on my Windows Experience Index I read up a 7.6 on both the processor speed and the ram, this is the specifications without OCing the Processor and Ram, Games run very smoothly and the modules look really nice in the case too!

Cons: The Price, but it's really worth it!

Other Thoughts: I'm going to buy more of these to expand to 8GB Memory

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent 1600 CAS 6 RAM!

Pros: I'm running this RAM @ 1600 with 6-8-6-24-2T timings. I choose a lower clock divider so that when I'm done overclocking the Athlon II processor, it ends up back at 1600.

Cons: Doesn't seem to play nicely with certain FSB and memory divider combinations. I got this to work at FSB200/240/280 with corresponding memory divider settings to get the RAM to come in at 1600. Other combinations would not POST with the tight timings.

They don't sell 4GB sticks at this CAS latency; the biggest you can currently get is 2GB sticks.

Pricey; you can save a lot of money by going with CAS 7 (and you can get 4GB sticks of that too).

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast

Pros: Asus M4A89TD Pro, Recognized XMP profile 1st try, Runs pefect at advertised timings, but I've got it down to 6-8-6-20-32@1T at 1.6v - 1600Mhz with a PhenomIIx6.. (C3)

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: Would definitley buy this RAM again, very pleased with the added speed..

2 out of 5 eggsGreat ram, if you own an intel

Pros: Awsome heat sinks

Cons: Will not work at advertised spec with AMD AM3 system. This ram will not operate at any tighter timing than 7-9-7-25-34-2t in my MSI-890FXA-GD70, with PhenomII x6 1100T. No matter how much voltage I gave it and no matter how I clocked the NB and HT-link. It wouldnt even run at 1333mhz at the advertised timings. System would not even POST. Updating to new bios caused ram to not want to POST at anything lower than 8-8-8-24-34-2T. I spent 3 days of adjusting all the timings I could with my board, which is more than u can read from the SPD of the chips.

Other Thoughts: Let me be clear that Gskill is a great company. I have purchased ram from them a few times and was never dissatisfied until now. I bought this ram, (two sets to make 8gig), as a last resort when building my system because the Mushkin ram I had picked out was for some reason no longer available at the time. I was enticed by the low latencies and read numerous reviews and forum posts that said this ram would work fine with AM3 setup so I bought it against my better judgement. New Egg is now selling the Mushkin ram I wanted again so I bought it and I am returning this ram. Makes no sense to me why New Egg stopped selling a product then suddenly is offering it again. I you are building an AMD AM3 system and u want to run 1600mhz with buy Mushkin. The Mushkin ram I bought runs at below advertised timings at 1600mhz with absolutely now trouble, and the Mushkin will run at *-*-*-*-1T or even *-*-*-*-0T if your MOBO supports 0T.

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you were unable to configure the memory properly. Especially with 8GB, special settings are required to achieve stability. Please overview our guide before attempting this task: http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=7688

Also at times, you can have two kits that are not perfectly compatible with each other. So if you need 8GB, make sure you purchase an 8GB kit.

Thank you
