4 out of 5 eggsnot to shabby

Pros: they showed up on both my systems with no problems and they run great

Cons: 1 out of 12 sticks was bad i don't consider that really a con though took about 3 weeks to exchange though dropped 1 egg due to turnaround time

Other Thoughts: i got 4 sets of 12 gig because it was cheaper than buying 2 sets of 24 gig go figure.
i put 24gig in each of my systems my configurations are as follows
1) 2)
Asus Rampage II Extrememb EVGA x58 3x sli classified mb
i7 930 with v8 cooler i7 920 with h50 corsair cooler
24 gig Gskill 24 gig Gskill
EVGA gtx 950 EVGA gtx 760
2 wd raptors 2 500 gig ssd
850 ultra ps 1150 ultra ps
antec 1200 case antec 1200 case

and both systems love them i would recomend these for these 2 types of motherboards with out a doubt

Hi Ronald

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory modules are running great in both systems. This is one of the most popular memory kits for a triple channel platform. With 24GB of DDR3-1600 in each computer, the system will be capable of anything you put it to. So whether it's video editing, streaming, virtual machines, or more, you can expect the operating system to remain fast and smooth. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great on Studio XPS 435 MT

Pros: I dropped this new memory into slots 1, 2, & 3, powered up the system, and everything worked great. 12gb of new memory as easy as that.

Cons: Like everything, could cost less....

5 out of 5 eggsFallout 4

Pros: Popped right in and made a noticeable difference vs. my former 6GB sticks. Good memory for older style chipset.

Cons: Expensive for older memory.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in preparation for Fallout 4 which requires 8GB of RAM. This will most likely be the last upgrade for my aging i7-920 on an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 board before moving to a Skylake build. I have already upgraded the graphics to EVGA Duel Superclocked GTX 770, and a 1TB EVO SSD. I was actually very impressed with the difference these sticks made.. I think my 6GB was a greater bottleneck than I had suspected. And now I'm all ready for Fallout 4.

4 out of 5 eggsOverclocks well

Pros: Overclocks well. Currently at 1900mhz (9-10-9-28) stable 24/7 on Gigabyte GA-X58-UD3R (Xeon W3520 OC @ 3.8Ghz)(Dram V 1.65, VTT 1.4). The memory would probably OC higher.....but my memory controller is not as strong as I would like. My QPI (VTT) voltage is at 1.4 volts. That is the max I am willing to push it. G.Skill has better memory modules, but for the price.....this triple kit rocks!!

Cons: Was not successful in tightening the timings at 1600mhz for 24/7 stability. But the sticks did run as advertised 1600mhz 9-9-9-24. One egg less than perfect because of that.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great with Asus Rampage iii

Pros: Works great with my previous install of 6GB memory from G-Skill same timing is the key. Didn't even have to adjust voltage with the change of memory now shows 18GB. Currently I am running Rampage iii Extreme with Xeon x5690 overclocked at 3.69Ghz on Air only for everyday use and gaming. If this memory is as good as the previous G-Skill I will have them for many years to come.

Cons: None at this time if any problem comes up I will update.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a person who really cares about color of the memory if you are it matches the motherboard scheme.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Runs fine after I got the timing right

Cons: Doesn't run at stable at 1600, runs without issues at 1333. I'm on an older Motherboard, so maybe that's why (Asus Rampage III). It might run stable at 1600 if I updated the BIOS

Other Thoughts: Check for motherboard compatibility

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory is working well in your system. This triple channel memory kit is a perfect kit for your X58 motherboard. The colors even match so it will be a great look. Although the motherboard is older, it should have no problem handling DDR3-1600 RAM. The ASUS motherboard can support 24GB+ as well, so if you are having strange compatibility issues, it may be best to update the BIOS to improve stability. Once that is complete, make sure to configure settings in BIOS, then the system should be fast and stable with 12GB of DDR3-1600. Should you need any help or have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly.
