Other Thoughts: It comes on a black PCB, not green. I'm in favor for this, they look much nicer that way. Hopefully they upload a picture of them in black, it'd represent the product much better and would probably drive more sales.

Pros: These units had a very good competitive price. These worked perfectly when I installed them; I used these to replace a pair from another manufacturer that had failed.

Pros: Ummm.... its painted black.... that's neat.

Cons: Adding this as a second 2GB stick to an desktop. Verified compatibility before purchase. Installed memory, gave a solid beep error code with startup. I swapped out memory sticks, tried different slots. Unfortunately, due to my busy schedule, I did not get around to getting this replaced so we will have to just eat the $13 on this one. I will mark this as completely DOA.

Using in my new Gigabyte GA-847N-D motherboard. Don't need a lot of memory for a small firewall. If the web cache starts using a lot of memory I will buy another one.

Pros: None on this particular stick.

Cons: DOA. Will be returning for a refund very soon.

Pros: Does what its suppose to, great price

Cons: nothing really

Pros: Cheap price, respectable manufacturer. I bought 3 of these memory chips for an upgrade from 2G to 8G. In the end, the board recognized all 8Gig and performs flawlessly. See Cons below for additional details.

Cons: Very new memory. To be honest this isn't a CON to the memory, it's a CON to just the way things work out sometimes... My 4 year old motherboard didn't recognize the memory when I initially installed the chips. So, I removed the chips, performed a bios update, and reinstalled the memory. The board then recognized the memory. DON"T jump to conclusions when you first get this memory and your board doesn't recognize it. Do a bios update and everything will be just fine. G.Skill is GREAT memory at a GREAT price. Knowledge is power, pass it on.
