1 out of 5 eggsDead on arrival

Pros: Got it on sale from an email

Cons: Did not work. Tried using each stick individually, together, individually with previous working RAM, and together with previous working RAM, but system would not boot properly with new RAM. System turns on, but there is no system beep and the system never boots up. Upon removing new RAM and using previously owned RAM, the system booted as normal.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to use in addition to my current RAM (Item#: N82E16820231193) on this (Item#: N82E16813131398) motherboard with this (Item#: N82E16819103706) processor. Should be compatible with my system, but I'm surprised that neither stick worked and that either in conjunction with my working RAM would prevent system start up. Will be looking to return/replace

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We can help with this issue. With the original RAM, download the latest BIOS and flash it within the motherboard. The motherboard BIOS is outdated which is why the new RAM can not be recognized. Older BIOS versions did not accept 4GB modules, so with an update, this memory will boot up without a problem. The AMD CPU does not support DDR3-1600, so it would be best for you to manually set the RAM to DDR3-1333 tCL 8 - tRCD 8 - tRP 8 - tRAS 24 1.50V for optimal performance. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly. The G.Skill support team will make sure G.Skill RAM is operating at maximum performance in your computer.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsNice OC RAM

Pros: OC'ed to 2133 MHz no problem on my mobo.

Cons: Could be larger, but assuming you're looking into this you've settled on this allotment. However, I also see alot of articles saying the 1866 Mhz edition, is a bit better at OC, and less people see as many problems.

Other Thoughts: Might suggest the 1866 MHz version.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM!

Pros: Works as advertised.Easy to install and popped right in.Running with an i5-4690k on Asus MB and all is good.Haven't even tinkered with UEFI yet as I had to use stock heat sink from Intel because apparently an 1150 board is cut different than a 775.My old Buffalo heat sink was off by approx. 1/16 of an inch and just wouldn't fit my new board.Going to water cooling in about a week. Then I'll get into UEFI and 'play'!Anyway,I've been dealing with New Egg now for about 8 years and everything was delivered on time and worked out of the box.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I used G.Skill in my previous build and had no issues. And that was DDR 2 I purchased in Dec. 2008.Still running strong.Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Sticks

Pros: I can say a lot about these sticks but I think the other reviewers have said it all. Does what the box and description on Newegg says. Great speeds and kept at a cool state. My EVGA Z-97 FTW looks great with them on. What else can I say? I love em and breat budget sticks.

Cons: none, as long as you don't touch the teeth or anything stupid. lol

5 out of 5 eggsIt performs well

Pros: It works as advertised, looks good especially with red and black AMD hardware on the inside

Cons: Ram is ram, there is nothing that this ram has that most other 4Gb x 2 ram bundles don't already have

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Nice looking and no issues

Cons: none

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you like the appearance of the RAM and they are working flawlessly. This is a popular memory kit as it provides high speed and capacity at a low price. Whether the system is built for gaming, streaming, or multi-tasking, this memory can handle it all. Since the specifications are above standard, don't forget to configure settings in BIOS, or enable XMP/DOCP for the RAM to run at full speed. Should you need help with this or have any further questons, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Looks cool. Low profile. Good latency. Reasonably priced compared to other brands/styles with similar specs.

Cons: None. It's RAM. I read the specs before I purchased, and all of my chips work.

Other Thoughts: I purchased a pair back in August 2014, and the main board was a green-ish color. I just received my new ones and they're more black. Can't really tell once they're installed, but I must say that the black ones look better.
