1 out of 5 eggsNo points for nonfunctional hardware

Pros: Can't write any pros about hardware that doesn't work.

Cons: Installed on an Intel DQ57TML. Made sure that BIOS was flashed to latest revisions and checked memory voltage. Checked compatibility to make sure that this motherboard can use these chips. System now crashes and reboots immediately after starting Windows boot-up. $100 of RAM turned entire computer into a useless lump of plastic and metal.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Hi Jesse

We will be glad to help with this issue. Unfortunately, the RAM you selected is not compatible with your Intel motherboard. The Q57 chip set may require double sided 4GB modules in order to be recognized properly. This particular memory kit is single sided, so you may encounter a strange instability. Contact NewEgg to exchange for the G.Skill F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT and this model should work well in that system. With two kits combined, you can have 16GB of RAM running flawlessly in an older build. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsGSkill 4X4 16GB Easy Install

Pros: I have a fairly older Motherboard, a very basic,
Intel® Desktop Board DH55HC that I am revitalizing a bit.
I received this memory, installed it and the computer booted right up. So it did work with a several year old MB.
No noticeable issues and the computer is rock steady. I am not trying to O.C. this system as there is no need to. It is not for gaming., obviously. I have had good success with GSkill on multiple builds.

Cons: No cons. Memory worked without a hitch.

5 out of 5 eggsG Skill ripjaws 1333 cl7 ram

Pros: These modules Modules F3-10666CL7-4GBXH have been working flawless in my AMD 790FX motherboard and overclocked 965 BE processor for about 4 years.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am now finally upgrading my system to a new i7-4790 on a MSI Z97 M Power motherboard I just bought from NewEgg.
I think this ram should work, would any one have any input on this??

1 out of 5 eggsWARNING

Pros: Used to be great memory. See cons.

Cons: Warning! I have purchased dozens of sticks of this memory for our business OptiPlex 780 PC's. Recently however something in the manufacturing process has changed, and the memory is no longer compatible. I can pull out a stick of G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB memory manufactured in 2013 and the memory works fine. But with memory manufactured in 2014 (based on the manufacturer's own date stamp on the sticks) the machine just beeps, won't even POST. I used to recommend this memory regularly and have purchased significant amounts of it, now it seems I'm going to have to find a new 4GB module compatible with our business systems unless this problem can be resolved.

Other Thoughts: That, or I've just had the extraordinarily bad luck to have received two packages (8 sticks total) of completely bad memory.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We will be glad to help you with this issue. The chip configuration of this RAM has slightly changed, and it can pose a problem for some older computers. Since the system will not POST at all, contact the G.Skill RMA dept. and they will be glad to exchange with a memory kit that will be better compatible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Once you receive a new kit, it will work flawlessly in your system. For all further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know.

4 out of 5 eggsReliable and cost effective

Pros: Bought these four sticks almost 2 years ago. Games like BF3 and the BF4 Beta (doesn't really count) runs very smoothly

Cons: I've been subject to random BSODs that I can't yet figure out pertaining to "Memory Management" but I may take up some advise on how increasing the voltage (albeit to a safe level) or enabling the XMP profile

Other Thoughts: I've researched that raising the voltage has solved a similar issue. Initially I put together a new rig and installed Win7 32-bit not being smart enough to know its memory limitations. After reinstalling Win7 this time 64-bit, I noticed a lot more BSODs. I haven't yet ruled out a motherboard issue, but memory checks haven't isolated it to a faulty stick(s) just yet.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. We can surely help you with the problems you are having. Test each module with XMP enabled to see if one performs differently. This will help determine whether it is a bad module causing problems. If it is, send the memory in for RMA exchange and a replacement will work flawlessly. If they all work fine or have the same issue, the problem may lie elsewhere. Should you need further assistance, feel free to contact us directly and we will be glad to assist you. Once you are through with us, your computer will be fast and reliable.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Great timings, and very compatible with my system. I love every gb. It remains real cool, too, even under heavy loads and high heat. I have never tried G.Skill before, but I am glad I did.

Cons: None to date.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: I've had this kit in my 3770K/G1.Sniper 3 system for a year now. I do a lot of video and complex image processing so memory gets used hard, not a single hiccup. Ever.

Cons: None whatsoever.
