5 out of 5 eggsg.skill ram

Pros: I've had this ram about one month. No problems so far, which means there most likely wont be any problems.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The blue heat sinks look cooler than the red ones in my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsRMA came back SO FAST

Pros: Super Fast RMA. I am very impressed they stand so firmly behind their products. I won't hesitate to buy GSKILL in the future.

Reference previous review:

Cons: A faulty stick will happen. They stand by their product.

Other Thoughts: Pros:

Easy install. Ran at detected speeds. Did not attempt to overclock.

Cons:

After 6 months of use one stick failed. Verified using memtest.

Other Thoughts:

Waiting on RMA from Gskill. If they stand by their product I will update with 5 stars.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory was easy to install and worked well in your computer. If the motherboard supports XMP/DOCP and the CPU supports DDR3-1600, enable the memory profile and that will allow the RAM to run at full speed. This will also ensure that the RAM is always utiliizing the proper settings. With AUTO default values, settings may vary and that can cause the RAM error. But in any case, if the RAM is indeed defective, you are backed by a G.Skill manufacturer lifetime warranty so we can replace it with a new one right away. As long as the RAM is not physically damaged and the warranty sticker is intact, all G.Skill DRAM products will be covered. In other words, you will have good memory in your computer for life. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsStill having no issue after 4 year of use

Pros: 1- 4 years of intensive use and still having no issue.
2- Latency is 8 instead of 9 which makes difference while needing instant response.
3- Perfect for low budget overclockers of 2011 generation.
4- Its shape perfectly fit for under most CPU heatsink, which is a big plus for the airflow.

Cons: As it was (and still) perfectly fit my criteria, i have no cons against.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking great as always - longterm GSKill user

Pros: Inexpensive, quick timings, heatspreaders, GSkill

Cons: None that I can think of

Other Thoughts: Been using GSKill memory for over 12 years, probably much longer, and I've only ever had to return one set way back. Using Gigabyte Z97-HD3P and the timings are automatically detected once you enable the XMP profile in the BIOS. Memtest came out clear. Guess there's a reason I always just buy GSKill and don't really bother looking around. Using for my DAW (music machine), so while I don't do high end gaming the stuff I do does indeed use a LOT of memory (large sample banks, etc).

5 out of 5 eggsRAM is great

Pros: - Great price for the value you get
- Good timing (no complaints on latency, timing, or speed)
- Easy install (although RAM is always an easy install)
- Nice heat fins
- Good amount for any computer (8GB)

Cons: -Some people may not like the blue, high profile heat fins, but I find them nice, especially since the computer that uses these is blue themes.

Other Thoughts: In the future, I will buy sets of 2x8 16 GB ram, since I have a need for that looking forward, but I would fully recommend G.Skill RAM for its great value and reliability.

5 out of 5 eggsDid the job well

Pros: It lasted for a long time and did its job well over the last 3.5 years.

Cons: The blue panel that covers the module came off after a few years.

Other Thoughts: After plugging these two sticks into my motherboard in 2011, I didn't have to give them a second though for three and a half years. It was only recently when Windows started throwing random blue screens that I realized that one of them had gone bad. I recently replaced them with a pair of 8GB G.SKILL modules.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install
Decently priced compared to other brands
No problems
Looks nice in case

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: RAM is RAM, hard to go wrong with G.Skill. Haven't had any issues after the first two days and the color looks good with my ASRock H97 mobo.
