5 out of 5 eggsExcellent RAM

Pros: Looks nice, runs smoothly, and preforms as expected. Great value for it's price.

Cons: Had issues with my motherboard down-clocking it to 1600mhz, did a bit of research and solved my issue.

Other Thoughts: Bought two sets and running at 16gigs. Excellent for my needs.

4 out of 5 eggsWould have been great

Pros: Both sticks seemed to work individually.
Good price.

Cons: Edges of the heat spreaders were rather sharp making it somewhat painfull to push into place.
Won't work with my 1090t out of the box.

Other Thoughts: I could get my system to post and boot with both sticks, but only one stick at a time. It refused to post with two. Using a M5A97 LE R2.0 with a Phenom II X6 1090t. I should have figured that ram intended for AM3+ wouldn't work with an AM3 cpu, even though the mobo would have loved it more that my current bad-tastic ram.

RMA'd for now, but will buy again if I upgrade to an FX chip.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you got the RAM at a good price. This memory kit should have no problem with an AM3 CPU. The AMD 1090T does not natively support DDR3-1866, but you can set it to DDR3-1600, or manually clock it to run at DDR3-1866. If each module worked individually, they should be able to work together. Sounds like the motherboard or CPU may be defective. Hopefully you can get that resolved shortly. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: No complaints about these, work great in a new comp build. I'm no gamer but I do run memory black hole programs like photo manipulation & video editing. No freeze up's or bogged down programs, I can run multiple progams at the same time. Will eventually bump them up to 16GB.

Cons: nada

5 out of 5 eggsGood Ram

Pros: I've had this for 2 years now, ordering more because 8GB just isn't enough anymore. This RAM is blazing fast, and works well with the Z68 platform. The heat spreaders work well, staying cool to touch even after hours of high load.

I have not tried overclocking at all yet, however I will do once I have a better CPU heat sink.

Overall I'm impressed with this product, Good work G.Skill.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks good and Works

Pros: Saw the reviews were mostly positive on this one and the black covering matched my board better that other G.Skill colors did although they don't seem to transfer heat as well, not really a huge issue though they still work at the speeds they say so I'm overall happy with these and would recommend them.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsModules perform flawlessly

Pros: System: Asus M5A99FX Pro R 2.0, AMD 6350FX, G.Skill Sniper 1866 MHz (2x4GB)

I've run these modules at 1600MHz, 1866MHz, and 2133MHz, all at 1.5V, and it makes no difference in stability - they're rock solid.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I'm quite simply getting everything I could ask for from these modules. If they're not in your motherboard manufacturer's QVL, check G.Skill's Qualified Motherboard list to find a match for it. (Their Memory Configurator results were less complete than their tested motherboard listings.)
