5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: It works! There were no issues getting it to function at the correct timings and voltages.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Does it save power? I'm not sure. But I can tell you that this memory in a Shuttle SH87R6 with an i3-4130 draws 15 watts idling. 70 watts full load prime95ing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: It's reasonably inexpensive (or was when I bought it), fast, and color-coordinated with everything in my case

Cons: My computer was unstable for several months before I realized that my set of this was incapable of running at 1.35 volts and DDR3-1600 at the same time. I ended up having to bump it up to 1.5 volts. It's hardly a problem seeing as I bought it for the color rather than the voltage, but you may want to keep an eye out for that.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you like the color of the RAM, and you got a great deal on it. This is a very popular memory kit as it provides high speed and high capacity with a very sleek heat spreader design. Not all systems can support low voltage 1.35V, but the RAM can be used at 1.50V, so feel free to try 1.50V if you have issues. With 8GB of DDR3-1600, the computer should be very fast and smooth. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

Quality and customer service are our top priorities.

5 out of 5 eggsInstall this with confidence

Pros: I had never used G.Skill on any of my machines before, it was always Kingston memory, which never failed me. I'm confident that G.Skill is just as good at this point. I read several reviews of memory with faster latencies that, upon install, you had to manually set those lower latencies. This RAM runs as advertised out of the box, and the XMP profile detected by my motherboard set it to the appropriate specifications.

Cons: None I've found.

5 out of 5 eggsVery reliable RAM for the money

Pros: Decent price; runs well; very stable; hassle free since day one.

Cons: None that I can think of. You get exactly what you see listed.

Other Thoughts: I purchased a pack of these when I upgraded to a DDR3 board for my AMD Phenom II x4 (with intentions of upgrading the CPU, later on), around May 2012. Never had G.Skill RAM before. So, I was slightly nervous. But, the sticks are running great. Popped right in. Never had any issues. Doing some editing projects on the side, I figured I'd grab another set, about a month after, for a little more head room. Plus, for the price, why not? Only down side is the RAM only runs at 1333 speeds. But, that's because of the memory controller on the Phenom. Not the RAM's fault. That will be resolved on the next CPU upgrade. Overall, very happy with this RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent memory

Pros: Very fast and dependable. Buy this instead of the standard voltage memory as this is just as fast and should be very durable.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsperfect! on my x58 motherboard

Pros: I installed this 1.35 volt memory and choose XMP memory profile in the bios and my system boot with no problem at all. I ordered one kit (16gb 4x4gb) and one kit (8gb 2x4gb) for a total of 24gb on my Asus sabertooth X58. 6 memory slot.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This memory is targetting Z77 motherboard but it
work perfectly on my X58. I use Windows 8 x64 and Hyper-V
Here is my built
I7 960
Sabertooth X58
24 gb G.Skill 1.35v X series
Radeon HD 6950
Mushkin Chronos SSD

5 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: This is a good kit that is reasonably priced. I got mine at a discount of 15%, which made it a very good buy.

Cons: Runs with a little higher voltage than advertised, but this is probably just normal variation. The timings are not as tight as some other kits, but there's not much available in low-voltage memory with or without better timings.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm very pleased with this kit.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good, low voltage

Pros: Cheap, stable, low-voltage

Cons: Timing is not so great

Other Thoughts: I bought this pair to expand my existing memory. I used to have 4GB, now I have 12! It is important with such upgrades to have all memory modules with the same working voltage.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks great, works great.

Pros: It runs quick, no blue screens. I've ran it at 1333 and 1600 no problems. My motherboard has to o.c. to run 1600 but still no probs.

Cons: Be careful with small motherboards and big CPU coolers. Heat spreaders might get in the way.

Other Thoughts: Decent ram, I remember when my dad paid $70 upgrading to 128k of ram. So this felt awesome buying 8gigs for under $50.
