Cons: Very unstable.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this product for my new system. The Asus motherboard initially refused to recognize these memory sticks and kept beeping without booting up. After pressing the "memory OK" adjustor button on the MB, the system finally booted up. Then here comes the problems of frequent freezing up and unexpected reboot. After the 30 day return period with Newegg has lapsed, the memory renders the system unbootable- that is, no signal to the monitor when turning on the power, and "memory OK' button no longer works. G-skill warranty claim is a pain in the neck: needs to send in a form to request for a RMA number, then mail in the product (at my own expense), wait for their testing, and the manufacturer may send you a replacement part after 3 weeks. Will never buy this brand again.

Pros: The working stick works well as far as I can tell.

Cons: Worked for a month before one of the sticks died. Submitted my RMA a few days ago and haven't heard anything back yet. I'm hoping that once it gets replaced I end up with the highly rated memory that everyone else talks about.

Pros: Look neat.

2x 8 gig for a good price.

Cons: Came via DHL, took a very long time to get here as is typical.

Was in a bubble envelope with minimal protection but memory came in safe at least.

Other Thoughts: I researched the memory for my mobo and everything was green. When it came in, my pc wouldnt boot with the memory in. Tried with an alternative PC and the memory was good and worked great. However, no matter what I tried my mobo would NOT accept this memory.

Turns out, my PC mobo was an early batch that wouldnt support 8 gig memory sticks (after exhaustive searches on google to find out why it wouldnt work).

My particular mobo batch would accept only 4x4 gig (though later batches accept 8 gig sticks).

Not the memorys fault so I gave 4 stars for it.
