5 out of 5 eggsUnderrated

Pros: Easily runs at 2133Mhz overclocked with decent timing's and a small voltage bump of 1.6. Will hit 2400 with loose timings so good for APU graphic CPU's that require bandwidth over latency. For the price I paid hard to beat the value. Never really got hot under continuous loads.

Cons: Heatspreaders a little taller than I like but they should fit under most tower coolers just fine. Still prefer shorter sinks like in the Ares series. XMP settings artificially limiting.

Other Thoughts: Buy these when they go on sale. The only annoying thing is because these sticks can run much faster than the advertised speeds you have to manually set faster memory timings. Small issue for such a good value that it's forgivable.

5 out of 5 eggsDid the Trick!

Pros: These sticks are a great buy--watch for the Newegg offers and sales. Solid memory and quite fast enough for most computing needs, including graphics. Fins and overall package height are a little more compact than similar offerings by other manufacturers.

Cons: As noted by a few others, my UEFI bios did not automatically install them as 1600, instead selecting a 1333 profile and timings. Not a big deal, two clicks to select XMP-1600 profile, and off and away!

Other Thoughts: After installing and setting the correct XMP-1600 profile, I ran these through a number of tests. Solid fast performers with no error or really considerable heat issues. Can't speak to gaming performance, but for my graphics workstation moving up from Kingston HyperX Beast @ 16gb to these has transformed my Photoshop experience. These are also known to work well in a broad range of boards and applications. A great deal when priced right--just keep watching!

5 out of 5 eggsGood bang for the buck.

Pros: The BIOS on my ASUS H87M-E LGA motherboard didn't identify it correctly, so I manually entered the settings. This was strange since ASUS approved this memory for this motherboard. I haven't had any issues yet, but the system isn't pushed very hard. It's only used for office apps.

Cons: None.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you think the memory looks nice and it is working stable in your new high performance build. 32GB is a significant amount that will allow you to simultaneously run heavy duty programs all at once. So whether it's virtual machines, video editing, or some other memory intensive work, your computer will surely be capable of it. With regards to price, it is actually very good. Compare to other brands of similar specification and you will find that G.Skill beats it in any way. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: G.Skill quality (I'm writing this on a computer with G.Skill RAM that's going strong after 5 years)

Competitive Price

Snaps in and works fine

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought these to replace 4GB sticks on a server. I've used G.Skill RAM for approximately 5 years now and never had any issues. These snapped in and were recognized immediately. Tested out perfectly and have been running continuously for a week now. No issues whatsoever.

5 out of 5 eggsWork great

Pros: They work great with my Phenom II 1090T @ 4.2GHz and Crosshair IV Extreme Mobo.

Cons: More then 2 times the price I paid for them. I thought $175 was expensive when I bought them in 2011, but wow, around $350 now!!!!!!! I feel sorry for all you that waited till now to buy.

Other Thoughts: Waiting for the 16GB sticks so I can have 64GB on 4 slots. 32GB isn't enough for a ram drive.
